I have the SERO Plan. I was trying to connect to my school's modem pool. I created my own connection. It tried to connect to the modem, but for some reason it didn't let me in.
I just noticed on my usage that I have 19 minutes of CASUAL USE PCS WIRELESS WEB MINUTES. I was under the impression that all data was free with the SERO plans. I guess it's only free when I'm using Sprint's (#777) network and not someone else's? Will these 19 minutes of usage be expensive?
Thanks,
Scott

When you use your phone to actually dial an analog modem (or fax machine), using a real phone number and not #777, then yes you are charged $0.39 per minute REGARDLESS of whether you have a PV/Vision data plan option or not. It has been recognized as a billing error/bug in Sprint's system, but it is a problem that will never be fixed. It used to be that if you have the WW (wireless web) option on your plan. you would be charged airtime for such data calls instead of $0.39/min, but that WW option isn't offered anymore.
You could call in and get those removed for sure. But why not use the wifi to connect? Would that be an option?

But why not use the wifi to connect? Would that be an option?Sometimes one really does need to connect to an analog modem, not just or necessarily the Internet... What would Neo and Trinity do if they couldn't dial up an actual modem ? Sometimes you need to connect to a private VPN, or a fax machine, etc. The Internet is great, but it ain't everything...
