I'm sure this can be done with BitPim using the USB cable, but I can't seem to find my cable...
What I want to do is save a copy of my text messages to my computer. Unfortunately it seems the phone can only hold 200 messages and then starts overwriting old ones, and some I'd like to keep for various reference reasons.

I'm using a Mac, and when I connect my phone via Bluetooth to my computer, I can only see a few folders that let me put music or pictures in... I don't see anything for my messages. BitPim doesn't seem to recognize the phone while connected via Bluetooth.

Does anyone know if I can do this? I've tried looking around but am coming up empty-handed... Thanks!

edit: it's worth noting that although I'm using a Mac, I have Windows Vista installed on it as well, so the Windows vs Mac platform isn't really an issue if there's some software that will let me do what I want...

I don't think there is any way to get sms messages off the phone either by cable or bluetooth. but you could forward them to your email address on the pc. the m1 will also print them via bluetooth.
