I recently activated my LG Muziq which is an upgrade to my Katana. Eventhough I cannot make calls with the Katana it still receives text messages along side the Muziq. I have gone into the security options and used the "reset all" feature which resets all settings and erases all data. Is there a way I can change a setting so it doesn't receive my text messages anymore?

side note - I'd have called or emailed Sprint already, but I don't want to risk getting a erroneous and favorable credit taken off of my account. Besides there are some users here who put the knowledge of some Sprint CSRs to shame.

uhm, if you took the katana off your acct, what does it matter? and for that matter, why do you still have it turned on? lol no offense, just struck me as odd

It matters because I plan on selling or giving the phone to someone who needs it, and once it's in the hands of someone else I don't want them receiving my text messages.

This has happened to me a few times to its like the phone doesn't know not to get the message my old a900 got them for about a week. Once the other person activates it on their account it will not get anymore messages that go to you. I think it is a network thing, the reason your phone keeps getting text. Freaked me out the first time too. No big deal though.

Ah ok, well that's ok then if it drops off once it's activated on a new account.
