I'm getting a 8200 off of ebay, and I plan on using it as a modem for my computer to connect to the internet. i have bought a USB cable for it. I have a Sero plan, that includes unlimited data for my phone. Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to set up the connection between my phone and my laptop? Also, what drivers/programs would i need to download for my laptop for it to recognize the phone? I will be using the internet VERY lightly, just to check my facebook, email, and IM friends, etc. any help will be appreciated.

Maybe it's just that no one wanted to give you the bad news. The only way the newer Sanyo's can be used as modems is by paying $39.99 for the PAM plan - sheureka

you should search the forums for connection info using #777 sanyo 8200 should work, you'll need a modem driver for the phone.
