Please tell me if anyone else has been having missed calls and no ringing sporadically on the new Katana DLX phones?? I am on my fourth one since July 15th when my husband and I both got one. His has not had the missed calls problems like my first 3 in a row. He does have freezing up when you click on email and has to have the battery removed to get the phone to do anything. I like all the features on it and it has a loud enough ringer. That is the issue my daughter complains about her original Katana, so I had waited for the DLX version. Now I don't know what to do because the 4th one I have , my daughter called 5 or 6 times last night and it didn't even register a missed call. Just like some of the others I tried. I am so frustrated. My last two Sanyo's I liked. Thanks for any inputs. The guy my daughter talked to about downloading ringtones said he has been getting a lot of complaints about the DLX.

If you are using the SCP8500 and using the Sprint Mail application, if you are experiencing freezes on this phone, use this command
##EMAILRST#
and that will eliminate any freezes related to the Sprint Mobile Mail application.
Please post your results, if you have this problem and if it works or doesn't and we will be here for assistance.

Ever since I downloaded that update to 08 I have been having problems with my DLX. Bluetooth now works like crap. It won't recognize my headset. I have to constantly turn it on/off/pair things over again. Calls are dropping when not ONE was dropped previous to the update. The speakerphone sucking is starting to get to me now. Has anybody else had any bluetooth issues since the update? :frustrate

ok so I can confirm. The update has bricked bluetooth on my phone, or it coincidently/mysteriously died @ the exact same time I did the update. Both my headset and stereo headphones no longer work on my DLX. Other bluetooth devices can find my DLX but not in reverse. And yes, it is ON, and always visible. Wow, this bites.

So I kept trying things to get the bluetooth to work properly and my DLX got really really really really hot, screen went black, and sadly, it passed away. No more power. Took out battery, tried everything. DOA. That was fast. :td:
Talked to tech support. Gentleman said all the 08 update contained was a new intro screen and an internet speed improvement. No changes to bluetooth.

Sadly, I don't think I'm going to get another DLX. Wasn't much to begin with and to just pass away on me like that after I babied it was insulting :td:
Guess I'll fork out some cash and get a Mogul. I really wish Sprint had the Moto Q9h revision with Windows Mobile 6 on it. I kinda like that phone. I'll pass on the current version though. Back to the drawing board. :frustrate

You cant go wrong with a Mogul. Thats the Sprint Elite Phone. Anyhow, I dont need the Mogol cause my wife already got one :D . The DLX has served me fine and well.

I went with another DLX. No problems with this one @ all. The Mogul was just too expensive.

Sending DLX back and getting new Moto RAZR 2. That's were it rests. Muziq and RAZR2 and I'll have to be happy. For a LONG time...

3 hours talk time on the new Moto. I imagine it might end up being worse than that with two QVGA screens. I don't care though. Usually, I don't need a whole lot of battery life anyway. I work at home. Which is nice :hee:

We exchanged our DLXs for the Muziq. All is well so far.
