Hello. I brought a moto Q for a second line on my account. I have two independent lines not a family plan. I want to switch the moto Q to my main line and the new line to my old A900. I was told when I actiated the new line that I have to wait 30 days to do so, however I was told that I could do it when I got the phone by the lady that increased my credit limit. Anyone know which one it is?

Did you order the new phone through Sprint or through a third party dealer? If you ordered the phone direct from Sprint you should be able to do the ESN swap right when you get the phone.

I don't know a lot about letstalk.com but there is probably some set of stipulations that force you to keep the phone on that line for a certain amount of time. You need to check with them to see how long that period is. If you remove the phone from the line before that period is over then they will charge your bill for the full price of the phone.

I believe you are ok to swap esn on the new lines you just got, but you are not to use the phones you got from letstalk.com for a different line. The time period you are required to wait in 180 days I believe. The best way is to contact letstalk.com and let them know what you are trying to do.

not 180 days no. the most you would have to wait is 30 days and even then probably not because then how could you return or exchange the phone?

I got it straightened out. I switched it. I didn't have to wait at all. I don't know what that first lady was talking about. I should have known she didn't know what she was talking about by the questions she was asking me. Thanks fellas.

You can swap the phones any time no matter what anyone says! Call sprint and ask for programming info for both handsets. And swap them yourself!

Programming info alone will not swap them. If upgrade your phone, your old handset will have the same programming info as your new handset. Do they both work? No. The ESN needs to be provisioned on the network.
