I have less than a year left on my contract with Sprint. Currently, my plan offers the following:

1250 Anytime Minutes (now all I see is "flexible") - $49.99
America Roaming - Included
Nationwide LD - Included
Nights and Weekends at 6pm - $10 (WAIVED, NO CHARGE)
Unlimited Power Vision
Unlimited M2M
Unlimited SMS - $8 (WAIVED, NO CHARGE)
Caller ID, Call Waiting, Three Way Calling, Voicemail

Total Charges:

Monthly Service Charges: $67.99
Adjustments: ($23.80) (N&W 6pm Waived, SMS Waived, Loyalty Discount)
Taxes: $3.01
Total Out of Pocket Due: $47.20

Am I leaving anything "on the table" unnecessarily?

I also find myself not using on average only 300 ANYTIME minutes, whereas my total use (with M2M) averages at around 600 minutes. Can we say an underutilized plan?

Anyone have any thoughts on this? While I am talking to Sprint, do you think I can also negotiate a plan for my brother (he is considering switching from AT&T to Sprint) if the numbers look good to him as well.

I could get a plan for 500 Anytime minutes, with unlimited SMS, unlimited Powervision, N&W at 7pm, M2M, Nationwide LD, Caller ID, Call Waiting, Three Way Calling, and Voicemail for approximately $20/month. :thought:

I would leave the plan alone, or you can risk it by having the wrong rep help you out. I've seen the screws that some can do.

As far as the bro goes, the best you can do is Sero. As a new customer, he has no value to the company.

Why don't you take the 20 dollar dealer plan and ToL the SERO plan to your brother?

Honestly, The thing I'm most impressed with is your $3 taxes. in NY my taxes are around $12 for a $50 plan

Nice plan already...why risk getting something removed?

NY has the highest cellphone related taxes.

My suggestion isn't really obtaining anything additional, but will help you in the long term.

The $8 text messaging recurring credit most probably expires 24 months after it was given to you. At this point you will be charged the $8 a month for unlimited text unless you can get someone to add the code again for the recurring credit.

You can ask for the unlimited text messaging SERO promotion to be added instead. This will remove the $8 credit and add a code that provides free unlimited text for as long as you have the SERO plan instead of just two years.

Wow, dude, that totally sucks. You're totally getting hosed.

Tell you what, since I like you so much, I'll let you port your number to my account, then I'll port my numbers to your account. Then we'll just call billing and have them swap our billing addresses.

It's the least I can do for a friend . . .
