No, Sprint will not let you out of your contract for moving. It's not thier fault you moved, and thats how they see it.

Hmm... I'm all for "if you never ask, the answer is alway NO". At the very least you could ask them - speak with either Customer Service or Retention (maybe they can help you with the digital roaming fees (ahem... waive any if applicable). And remember, be polite and firm - it goes along way!

Far as a remember, digital roam is included. It's the analog roaming they have issues with.

Now... if "roaming" is all inclusive (meaning analog and digital) and Sprint will not let you out of contract, then keep using your phone when you move. If you use 800 or more roaming minutes per month for at least 6 months, Sprint will cancel your account ETF free.

Request that sprint send a technician come to your new area and see why you are not getting service in that area. This happened to me when i move to a new area. Sprint offered me the option to opt out of my contract because the tech had determined i was in a non service area. Its worth a shot.

Whatt everyone else said, roam more than 50% for 3 months and they will cancel you/waive the ETF.

Or call for a tech, they will say no service and same result.

Correct me if i am wrong, but i thought sprint would let you out if you moved to an area without coverage? You just had to provide an utility bill or the like to prove you actually lived there.

Last i heard of this was over a year ago, but it was a popular topic here a while ago....

Your kidding right? Dont be a smart ass if you call them. Do like Jumonjii said. Just use it and if they dont like your usage they will terminate you without a ETF. You never know, they may setup a tower in your new area (just for you). You can check the Sprint site for future coverage areas that are in the works.

Anyone get out of their contracts because they raised the roaming rates to .69 per minute as of august 1?

That loophole doesn't work anymore. You will probably have a better shot with the upcoming text message price raises. But technically, both loopholes are closed unless the base plan of price is raised.

Did anyone try?

Why don't you and get back to us. If you really want to get out of your contract pay the ETF and move on.

Edit: I was gonna try this out but I just got my plan switched to SERO. So the text is included. And it took me a long time to get my plan so I am not gonna mess with it.
