View Full Version : Little upset about my plan...

Hey guys,

I've had sprint for about 8-10 years now. I thought my plan was reasonable until recently when I see everyone else with sprint have amazing deals and what not (a lot of people on SU have sick deals :headbang2 ). Anyways, I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to improve my plan or maybe get a few free perks.

If I call retentions, would it be easy for me to get unlimited text messaging for either free or cheap (5$/$10 a month) for 2 of my lines? Or maybe nights/weekends starting at 6?

Here is my plan:
Sprint Fair & Flexible for FAMILIES

$69.99 Minimum Monthly Charge
Adjustable Anytime Minutes
800 Minutes Are Shared On This Plan
Nationwide Long Distance Included
Unlimited Night & Weekend Mins. Included
Nights: M-Th 7PM-7AM Wknd: F 7PM-M 7AM
Unlimited Mobile to Mobile (pcs to Pcs)
Caller ID, Call Waiting
Three-way Calling
Voicemail

I have 5 lines on this plan. It would be nice to let my kids have unlimited text messages since as of now, they get 300 a month with me paying the $5 per line.

Thanks for the help!

A good text messaging option that is fairly easy to get is Unlimited text for all lines for $15 on a family plan. You can always call and ask what they will give you. But keep in mind a lot of these perks and freebies also mean that you have to sign a new 2 year agreement.

So if I call retentions and say I am a little unhappy about my plan because I feel I'm not getting a great deal and they give me, let's say, unlimited texting for $15, then I have to sign a new contract?!

unbelievable, to be quite honest.

p.s. thanks for the tip

edit: 1) is the unlimited texting to just sprint members or to everyone like cingular, etc.
2) if I ask for the unlimited texting for $15, can they just add it to my current contract or will it be another 2 years.

My advice is to contact ecare.

Ask them if they are running any promotional pricing offers on the features you are interested in. Ask them also if your account qualifies for any features at no additional charge or discounted pricing for being a longtime loyal Sprint customer.

like pintac and jumonjii said. i would try ecare, verizon has the plans that include unlimited text, web, navigation and more for family so you should be able to get something. i know with plans now you can get the family unlimited text for $20, should be able to get it for $15. just say after being with sprint for over 8 years you find yourself unhappy with what your getting for the price you pay. like jumonjii said ask if you qualify for anything like the 15% loyalty, etc.
