Hi People new user here
Im having problems with email. I have an account with CHARTER ....when i attempt to send email it will connect .....and a popup window will say ....the outgoing mail server cannot send or receive messages at this time.try again later... the bottom portion of the screen will say discconecting then error syncronizing. can anyone please help. Thanks....

Just a guess, but it sounds like Charter is blocking you from using the SMTP server. Maybe you need to authenticate to send. They are probably detecting you are not connected directly to their network and treating you as a spammer if you don't authenticate.
By authenticate I mean you must log in to send a message. Usually POPing your email prior to sending would be enough to authenticate. Other times you must log in to send.

The way we handled this problem on my wife's Mogul was to send messages through the sprint SMTP server. Worked like a charm - she receives her email normally and can send easily.

like many other isp's, charter does not allow relaying. As a alternative, use their web email based service.

gmail did that on my 6700 ... but when i set up to automatically send/receive .. i would get my mail.. i was still unable to send outgoing emails though..

Gmail worked fine with my Mogul, out of the box. Auto detected settings successfully, just had to put in my password...
