Ok, so I currently have a pretty good SERO plan, 'n such. But, my girlfriend is on a basic family share plan. She has been on it for a little more then a year. I'd eventually like to get her off her family plan, and somehow add her to my account.

So I went to add-a-line on the Sprint web page. And it told me that my SERO account isn't valid to add-a-line without changing it to a family share plan. (I didn't know that? :td: )

So, is there a way to actually add her to my account. In a perfect world, I would like her to keep her same number, but just have her part of the bill come to me, instead of her family. But, I've been doing some digging around, and I haven't really found much for ideas.

So, any ideas, info, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

unfortunately sero doesnt do family type plans. You could add another sero line to your account and that would solve your problems. You would loose her # though, I believe.

She has to have her own Sero line. It would be swell if they had a Sero Family Plan though. I'd be right on it.

No, there has never been a SERO family plan. The SERO website used to list a couple of shared minute plans, but they were standard plans.

as its been said, you cant just go to add a line, thats to share minutes on a plan you have, which you cant do with sero. you have to set her up with her own sero plan, instead of sharing minutes. you should be able to port her number to your account but you have to wait for her contract to be up or pay the etf.

Ok, so I guess I really just need to wait untill her contract is up them. I'm in no hurry, I just wanted some info on it.
So after her contract is up, I should be able to port her number onto a SERO plan, or a plan that is equally as good, right?

EDIT: And to port her number, I should just port it to a pre-paid, and then port it back over to Sprint on a SERO plan, is that right?

Yeah you should be able to do that. But you could also go another way once she is out of contract. You can order a new SERO line online and get the new phone that she wants at new customer pricing (cheap) and use the mail in rebates, coupon code, etc. Then port her existing number to a prepaid cell phone, which would cancel her current account. And then port that number onto your new line and new phone. This way she gets SERO, keeps her number, and gets a brand new phone for cheap.

Just remember that you will be liable for all charges made to her account, so if you guys break up and she takes the phone, you're on the hook for at least the ETF, and any international calls, downloads etc made in the meantime.

Why can't she get her own line with her own SSN?

You can do a transfer of liability at the Sprint store to take over her line of service now instead of waiting for the contract to expire.

WHATEVER you do, and I know you may love her, but please DO NOT add her to your plan! You will regret it when you break up, because she will leave you with a sour face when you get the bill afterwards.....LOL
Just leave her as she is, and enjoy your goodies.

What you are going to have to do is a transfer of liability from her parents name, or whoever she is under, to yours and then you can add a line. Best if done at a sprint storem, and then call eCare to get sero.. or the like.

yeah i just thought about that. wait until youre married to add her to yours. you never know what will happen. i learned that recently. its not a done deal until you say i do and even then its not certain. in fact its less then 50% certain.

everytime i read stuff like this.... i always think...what happens if your relationship hits the fan? Her sero line would be under your account...dangerous... IMO.

ScottsXJ is lucky we've got his back. I wish someone had told my friend this earlier. He got burned really badly when his girl and he broke up, she smashed up the phone and mailed it to him. He had to swallow the cost of the ETF too.

Hahaha.

I have to say, I never even though about that.

If you were really smart, you would add your number to her parents family plan :tu:
