So, what rebates are available besides the $150 upgrade credit if you are buying a new phone for a second line? I would like to purchase the phone 7/29 so any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rick S.

If the phone that you are purchasing has a MSRP of greater than $299.99 then you can also use the Kellogg's rebate for $75 off.

You can also put in this coupon code when you buy the new line URANG to get a $50 invoice credit.

PintaC,

Thanks for the response. I just realized I didn't explain correctly in my post. I have a share plan and we are upgrading the second phone on that plan. Are there any rebates I can use on that second phone?

Is there any advantage to buying online versus in the store?

Thanks,

Rick

I am not sure about any more rebates since it is an upgrade and not a new line activation but I am pretty sure you if you order online some of the prices may be better and they will waive the $18 activation fee as well. But websales orders have been iffy and slow lately so your best bet may be to go down to the store and see what deals they can give you.

Again, I really appreciate your comments. I also upgraded my phone and signed a new two year deal with Sprint. I received the Treo for the $200 price and received a $50 credit and sold my old Samsung A680(2.5 yrs old) back to Sprint for $35.

Are there any other offers/rebates I should pursue. I am not a new customer but did sign a new contract. I don't know if I will qualify for Kellogg or not.

Thanks again,

Rick

Generally when you do a 22+ month upgrade, you will get your $150 rebate off of the retail price plus any other Sprint instant rebates plus any mail-in rebates.

You may also get a monthly discount off your bill depending on what company you work for. There are literally hundreds of companies on the discount list. Go to this link and type in your company email address to see what kind of discount you can get:

Or just go into a Sprint store with a pay stub and the employee can set it up for you.

Thats all I can think of right now. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks Rookie. I get a company discount. It sounds like I made out ok, but I just wanted to check.

Yeah it is technically a $150 upgrade credit. But there are also mail in rebates that a person can submit when they are eligible for this upgrade credit.

yea the $150 is the 22month rebate, but you can get more. u actually get the new line price, which is usually better than $150 off retail. if your a good talker you can usually get an extra $100+ off what the phone is listed for, like my moms i580 was $250 and i got it for $75, dads i880 was $300 i got it for $150, my line was only up for $75 off and i got the mogul for $300 +$24 credit. if your not sure of what to say, ask, there are plenty of people on here that know how to talk and can help you out

Ghettocowboy is def right. You can usually get more than the upgrade credit that they will give you. I don't really like talking to CS over the phone and have had some success with this by emailing eCare. I have seen a lot of posts on this forum about eCare giving larger upgrade credits or matching the new customer pricing on a phone.
