Sprint customer service and support sucks. Long story short, the vision data on my Mogul never worked since I"ve activated the phone on 7/24/07. After numerous calls to tech support and being transferred dozens of times and repeating the same basic troublehsooting (TOTAL OF OVER +10 HOURS), one of the tech guys had me edit some phone settings through the ##3282# menu and some code he gave me.
Well, after manually editing settings & rebooting, vision still didn't work. Upon checking the settings after rebooting, all SETTINGS ARE EMPTY and now show:
Active Profile = "0"
MIP_MODE = "Mobile IP Only"
User Name = "<blank>"
SPI MN-HA = "<blank>"
SPI MN-AAA = "<blank>"
Reverse Tunnel Preferred = "Enabled"
Home Agent IP Address = "0.0.0.0"
Primary Home Agent = "0.0.0.0"
Second Home Agent = "0.0.0.0"
HA Shared Secret = "<blank>"
AAA Shared Secret = "<blank>"
Now, my question is - how did this happen? The data never worked with those fields populated, and for sure it is not going to work with these fields empty.
So, how do I get these settings restored? Can I bring it into a Sprint store to have it reprogrammed?
I really don't want to spend any more time on the phone with Sprint. If I can't get it working by a reformat/restore or by bringing it into a Sprint store, I'm just going to return it next week and go with another carrier. ANy suggestions, anyone?

I suggest taking it into a store, they can help you better compared to someone on the phone who will just have you pressing a bunch of numbers and keys

oh,, my friend, i had the same problem with my first mogul, the very first day i ignore the problem as i have to wait 24 hrs for provisioning or something like that,, next day i took it to a tech and said he wouldnt fix it because it was new and wouldnt exchange it because they didnt have any in stock,, all lies of course. so i reminded the sale guy i was within 30 days and if i didnt get a mogul that work like it was supposed to i would cancel my account and get my deposit back. so out of the blue he comes out with a new mogul. so if you are withing 30 days you can exchange it, i dont believe you have to take a 500 dollars phone for repair if its less than a month old.

Hello,
I'm currently grandfathered on a Vision plan that's included in the cost of my voice plan. I was told by a rep yesterday that if I upgraded to the Mogul, I would have to change my plan and purchase Power Vision. Is this true? I've read a few posts from others who've said that it is possible to use Power Vision phones on Vision plans, but what about PDAs?
Thanks

same here. As phones in the company change hands, I change the vision user name to match the employee. Then just reprovision my phone, for changes to take effect. The name change takes effect, in about 24hrs, but the vision works, right away.
It might take a hard boot, to bring back the setting the tech wrote 0's over. Just guessing.
From the phone screen, options, services, internet, get settings, start
