View Full Version : How can I convert MP4 videos to something usable?

I downloaded a few MP4 videos from my Sanyo SCP-5500. The only thing I could find that would play them was VLC Media Player, but even that only played the video. There was no audio. I then tried a string of programs that say they can convert MP4 files to a more usable format. Not a one of them worked. Either they could not open the file, or they got stuck. One of them converted the video but the audio was in slo-mo and the whole thing was surreal.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I still have vids from my 5500. It records in 3g2 format. Use the quicktime player to watch them. :)

I downloaded them using DataPilot. In the list of files to download, the video files have an MP4 suffix. When I tried to play one in QuickTime I got an error.

Weird. Try playing them with Winamp or convert them to 3g2 and then play them with Quicktime.
