I have the Sanyo 8400. I have the USB cable that came with it and I now know how to make ringtones from larger mp3s but the only way I know how to get them onto my phone for use as ringers is to upload them and send them via text message through a website called funformobile.com. I can't figure out how to get them to my phone for use as a ringer using the usb cable. they only go into my soundcard which doesn't let me use them for ringers. any ideas???? i really appreciate your help with this. i almost sent a bunch of ringtones to my phone but i got interrupted thank god cause i've already spent $15 not knowing how much it was costing me. it could've been a lot worse!!!

There are a couple of ways to do this. w7excursion13 just posted a link to one of the ways using a short video. Here's a link to a way to do it using a small static picture and Quicktime.

This works great. I never knew Windows Movie Maker would do it too. I'll have to play with that one a bit.

ok i have been trying to do this but i am not sure i am using the movie maker correctly. i imported a pic and imported my audio clip then saved the project but it keeps being saved as a mswmm file. maybe i am not doing it correctly. i just added both what i thought was the same project. once it is saved i opened up the super program and dragged the "video" and dropped it to be encoded. whenever i do it though i get an error message. this is freaking hard!!!!

I have the 8400 and I make ringtones also. I find the best way to get them to my phone is with the Sprintusers focus program. I really never added any video clips to my phone.

check that top row of tabs and click on "focus"... should be self explanatory from there...

The uploader will send a text message to yuor phone with the link to download the ringer. You will get charged for text and data if you don't have them in your plan. As far as uploading directly through the cable I haven't seen a way for that to be done. You can send the ringer but the phone won't find it on the card which is the only thing the USB cable will send to.
