I have a Q about my new sanyo M1 phone -if any one can help me:
I have a question\problem with by new phone - Sanyo M1 - if you can help me.
I primarily chose this phone as I can transfer music from my PC to the phone which has a 1GB memory.
I did connect the phone to my PC and transferred music to the folders in the 'File Manager' in the phone.
The problem is I can listen to only one song at a time. To go to the next song I've to flip open - higlight the next song and then select the 'Listen' option.
I cannot listen continously to all songs as one would do on a CD player. I read the whole manual and tried several options in the phone but could not figure out.
Is this how the phone works?
thanks for all your guidance.

open a folder in media player and hit the right softkey to bring up the menu. select play mode, and then select all instead of single

Thanks: But Media Player is to play songs downloaded from the Internet - PCS Vision. I'm trying to play songs transferred from PC to my Cell.
Songs cannot be transferred from PC to Media Player - it can only be transferred to folders under 'File Manager' in the cell phone.
So any way out?
Thanks again for the input.

Media Player is for songs you put on your phone yourself. You should be able to go to media player->media listing, and it should list all the music you've put on your phone. What the previous guy said about play mode is correct.
I'm thinking you might have put your music files in the wrong folder or something. I don't have my cable to hook up my phone and I don't remember off the top of my head which folder they go in, but I believe the folder is called 'media'.

Thanks a lot-everyone - it worked now. The mistake was that I was transferring music files to 'Play List' folder which is a sub folder in 'Media' folder in the File Manager. It should be trasferred directly under the 'Media folder' and not any sub folder.
Thanks again - saved me lots of headache.

That's about the only thing I don't like about the M1 so far. The transfer of music is not terribly intuitive and forget about the manual! In the easiest case, I just used Windows Media Player to rip my cd's and hit "sync." Files will be transferred automatically, however you have to load the Sprint Music Store and select "player" to get to your files.
That being said, I am still very impressed with the sound quality from this unit. I work in a planetarium and yesterday I hooked my phone up to the 15,000 watt sound system in the theater and it sounded awesome!

Yes, the stereo quality is really good.
I see some one in this group trying to trade in their Sanyo M1 for a Samsung M610 - don't know how is that better.

the root of your mass storage device needs to have a media folder, then just move your files in there
ex: K:/Media/all your files

nope, when you plug it in, you have to select mass storage from the tools menu
menu>tools>usb connection>mass storage
then the phone will automatically connect to the computer
