Yesterday, 5/30/07 while I was at the Sprint store purchasing some accessories, I asked if they had the M1 extended battery in stock. I wanted to view a M1 extended battery to see how much thicker it was and if my leather case could handle the increase thickness of the extended battery.
They did not have the M1 extended battery and the Sprint employee mentioned that he was asked to return all Sanyo batteries as he pointed to the rack on the wall of empty Sanyo battery accessories for various models.
This Sprint store appeared to be very well stocked with accessories due to I had been to a few other Sprint stores trying to find the Sanyo Travel Charger that uses the data cable instead of the tiny plug-in jack known as the universal jack to connect to the phone.
I asked him if there was a battery recall on the Sanyo cell phone batteries and he said that he was not aware of any recall and he hope not since he is using an extended battery.
Have any of the members that work for Sprint been told to return their Sanyo batteries?
