See that Pronger elbow last night??

that guy is a punk...

i found myself cheering for the Sens though last night, they got a goalie who is willing to drop his gloves, Dany Heatly is amazing (and a former Badger), and Tom Preissing went to the same high school i did....

I am cheering for the Ducks. I picked them to win it at the begining of the Finals. I went out to LA last summer because of family, and after my Preds were eliminated, and Tampa Bay as well, I started to pull for the Ducks.

Pronger is the man. If that guy wasn't half a foot shorter Chris he wouldn't have gotten whacked.

go Senators!! not that i've been watching but the Ducks knocked out Detroit which has been my team since i was a kid. it's been a disappointing year for Michigan sports, at least the Spartans won the NCAA hockey championship.

A 6 inch height advantage doesnt give him the right to elbow the guy in the head :indiff: pronger's elbow shouldnt have been up in the first place

Haha. I know. I just have to have some reason to defend him.

Did anybody see the play that the Ducks coach complained about how their wasn't a punishment for it?

Happens all the time in College Hockey. At the NCAA Frozen Four a call made on Chris Finnley for being Chris Finnley cost the UND Sioux the Game.

It is not Chris Finnley or any other hockey player's fault that they are 6 - 8 inches taller than the defensive players. If you watch most of the tall guys when charging make the effort to tuck in thier elbows as to not to elbow another player.

Go Ottawa!

pronger was all elbow to head....there was no attempt to play the body, it was a straight jab to the head. Pronger got beat and threw the elbow to stop McAmmond from getting by him. If he had a body hit and the elbow got up is one thing, but this is a clear elbow to the head, hard to compare that with the Finnley hit which someone can argue was unintentional

Good, close game tonight.

I'd say the series is pretty much over. Might as well go ahead and start putting the Ducks' names on that Cup.

Some local connections to the winning Ducks team. Ryan Miller. goalie for the Buffalo Sabres had his younger brother Drew play for the Ducks in the finals, ensuring his name be engraved on the cup. Todd Marchant is from Buffalo, and Brad May is a former player for the Sabres.

Congrats to the Ducks!
