Okay I will give you a little background on my problem. I listen mostly to books on my mp3 player. Almost all purchased from Audible, a couple on CD from gas stations when I run out on a trip. Now I have an M1 and I want to replace my mp3 player with my m1. So I am fiddling with the audible portion (they have a beta java audible player) but I still want to be able to listen to mp3 formatted books.

So here is the problem. When you close the media player it saves nothing about where in the mp3 or even in the playlist you were at. This is decidedly bad when listening to a book.

So what I am hoping to find is either a way to force the media player to remember ( I dont think it will under any curcomestance) OR another media player I can install that will save my location in the mp3 files. Also if another media player is the solution, one that would play speex or wma voice would be great but I am fairly sure that isnt happening.

Thanks for listening to my rant. And thanks for any help.

i havent heard of any.

what i would do is split the file into 10 minute segments. number them in order and place into a separate folder in the media folder. when you play them, the phone will automatically skip to the next track, maybe with a half a second delay. that way, you can skip to a file to where you want to listen to.

if you need help splitting the file, visit videohelp.com they have plenty of guides to help you out
