I use the macro lens (switchable) on my mm-7500 often at work to take pics of part numbers on circuit cards.

It works great from about 2 inches on size 8-10 font letters and numbers --

How close will the camera on the M1 do a good job focusing??

Thanks

It focuses real well, no need for the macro switch, just remember to turn off the flash.

Just hit auto focus and it should automatically do the macro for you.
