There is a lot of talk about the SERO plan on this site! I feel embarrassed asking but what exactly is it? It is company related or a loyalty discount?? :1zhelp:

Sprint Employee Referal Offer
A discounted plan that was originally offered to people referred by an employee of Sprint to lure in more subscribers. It has since been opened to the public without the need for an employees referral. (sprint.com/sero) To view the plans and phones in detail enter email address holiday@sprint.com.

Warning though- the mods tend to hunt these rogue Sero threads down and close them since so much has been written on it.
good luck...

Hey everyone,
There's been some posts at these forums and Fatwallet where people have been saying that the SERO plans are coming to an end.
These may be rumors, but has anyone heard anything definite on whether SERO is ending?
I think it stemmed from the fact that Inphonics has reduced their phone inventory. Now, this may be because they are bringing in new phones OR they would like to reduce their old cell phones inventory. I called Inphonics and they had no idea when new phones would arrive.
One user said that a Sprint rep told him that SERO would be ending on May 25th.
I think it may be beneficial for other people if they know for sure, so they can order a plan right now instead of waiting and then not having a chance for signing up for SERO.

Hey if they miss the boat then so be it. This plan has been available for over a year that I know of and there have been many threats of discontinuing it. Might be a ploy by Sprint to get some of the unsure would-be subscribers to act fast.

I tried to switch my current family plan over to three SERO plans but was turned down. I have no problems signing up online though (through inPhonics). But that would generate a whole new account and three new numbers.

correct but you will still be liable for the current family plan until your commitment is fulfilled.

I am thinking of switching to Sprint. Getting SERO would be a dealmaker but I cannot get the SERO option at my zip code. Is there any other way to get the SERO Plan?

Use a friend's address? But then when they run a credit check, will it be a problem?
Or get the SERO plan under a friend's name and use his address. After sometime transfer the account to your name.
Just a few ideas...

You're most likely in an affiliate market, in which case you wouldn't be able to get SERO with your zip code. Simply ask a friend or a family member if you can use their address and zip code to sign up. Then once everything is set up, change the billing address back to your address. Of course, going that route, you won't have a phone number local to your zip code. That wouldn't make a difference for you, since SERO plans offer unlimited roaming, but it would be a long distance call for anyone who lived in the same town/city as you.

No, I bet most stores won't even know how to set you up with sero.
You can try calling (866)250-2221 and hope you get a nice person to switch you if you're already with Sprint or go to the sero site to sign up as a new user.
holiday@sprint.com still works as a valid email/code
good luck, it look me only 3 or 4 tries to get it- most who won't switch told me it was for new accounts only, I just tried again later.

In reference to stores........as a general rule IMO they refer to employee accounts. :hee:
