I am leaning toward getting the Katana over the Razr because (I've heard) it is a lot more durable and I want it to last 2 years :) My two questions are:

1. Do the cases for the katana have a hole to expose the speaker on the back? I have read on this site that the ringers are on the lower side, so if the case directly covers the speaker it might be hard to hear the ringers...

2. (If the case doesn't work out...) Which color Katana will show the least scatches?? I was looking at the white or the black, but I would consider the other colors if they would wear better over the two years. I pay a too much money every month to pull out a worn out phone after a few months!!!! I am not super hard on my phones, but I am a heavy talker so my phone is always being used. ;)

Wirelessly posted (WHATEVER IS ACTIVE TODAY: Samsung-SPHA900P AU-MIC-A900P/2.0 MMP/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

White would show fewest scratches. I had one last year and returned it because of the lousy ringer.

most of the cases i've seen (At least the hardshell ones) have an opening for the ringer/speakerphone, as for colors, if your a heavy user i would think white would show dirt/grime quicker than some of the others (lighter color) i have a blue thats held up pretty well since september

The katana functions more better than the razr but if you're looking for something loud I'd go with the razr. The tiny speaker on the back of the katana is weak. If you don't care much for that go for the katana. It's a great phone except for that minor flaw. I'd go with the white or black. My friend dropped her black katana few times and you still can't tell where the scratches are. The white one is hot and I dont think the scratches would show much either.

I Picked Up A Mybat Brand Hard Plastic Snap On Cover That Has A Thin Layer Of Leather On It. It Has Holes Molded In For The Rear Speaker And For The Camera, Outer Screen, And The Little Red Light. The Only Issue Is The Battery Charge Port Cover Can Be A Pain.

Th black Katana shows NO scratches -- it's not plastic with black paint -- it's BLACK plastic. You can't "scratch" the paint or chip it or whatever.

Thanks for the replys :) I didn't even think how quickly dirt and grime might show up on a white phone!!! My 4500 always gets makeup on it (from my hands and cheek), and the white might look just a tad too dirty all the time. I think the white phone is very sexy and girly, but I might be learning toward the black. Plus, there are more accessories for the other Katana colors, probably since the white is very limited.
