View Full Version : Will Not Activate My 6700. OK for PDA & Wi-Fi. BT Usage Stinks

A couple of weeks ago I obtained an AudioVox PPC-6700.
After MUCH daily testing of its Bluetooth linking with my Uniden ELBT 5.8Ghz multi-handsets cordless phone system, unfortunately I had to decide ONLY to use the PPC-6700 as a PDA, and occasional Wi-Fi accessing, and Wi-Fi "sniffer".
That is all.

The 6700 is UNstable and UNreliable for maintaining a Bluetooth link, and automatic re-linking with the Uniden ELBT595 system.
My existing and activated LG 350 is 100% stable and reliable for maintaining a link, and automatic re-linking with the Uniden ELBT595 system.

I like the 6700's Windows Mobile 5.0 OS; much superior to the Palm 4.0 OS that is in my Sony 70 PDA that has (funky) Wi-Fi accessing.

The PPC-6700 will replace my Sony 70 PDA, for both Wi-Fi accessing and PDA functions. I really would have desired to use the 6700 to also replace my (Bluetooth-reliable) LG 350.

I will admit that I did not test the 6700 with Bluetooth headsets, but since I will not be using it as an activated cell phone, that factor is moot for my PDA only & Wi-Fi only purposes.
