I did search, lots of conflicting data :indiff:
Does one need to have INTL service turned on/provisioned just to make a call (at the standard rate) from the US to Europe? I know about the $4 monthly plan for reduced price calls to Europe.
We have requested the $4 plan, but now are told it will take up to 72 hrs to be approved!
We want to put the plan on my wife's phone, but my phone also needs be be able to make an occasional call to Europe. It seems that my phone must be set-up or provisioned as well, but that (we're told by the 3rd different CSR) will only take 2 hrs.
THen there is the question of how to dial international calls. Coming from the GSM world, I'm used to just setting up my contact list for European numbers as + then country code then the phone number but am being told that CDMA (Sprint, Verizon etc) don't support this and you must dial 011 then country code then phone number (2 different Sprint CSRs first said "001" but I know that is calling back to the US from overseas).
Last thought ... on the HowardForum, there is a thread from Oct'06 that said (and nobody disagreed) that Sprint will not even add INTL calling to a new account until after 90 days of service for a new customer?
Label me confused ... :(
