I have a sleek m610. Sometimes I may be trying to make a call at 0bars and it may spike to 3, just for the time of the call and sometimes it may be vice versa (3-0). Maybe I could be running an app and it would go from 4-1 and it would not be able to connect to the internet... Sometimes I am not doing anything on my phone... and I would just turn the external LCD screen on for the m610 and for a split second it would go from 1-6 bars randomly. This doesn't happen every time and I know this is a phone problem as my other two lines can hold the charge...

Anyone else have this problem?

Also - I don't have insurance but my phone is only 2.5mos. old... I can't send it to the manufacturer because that would take a while... (and it may not happen there)...

Well, prior to owning the Fusic, I was an a920 user and I can recall, especially after my phone was about a year old, it would do the very same thing.

The signal strength would bounce from almost full coverage to no coverage to a little bit. It seems almost natural that when you access vision, the phone will show less bars.
The question is: Do your calls ever fail because of what you're seeing? As many say, bars are NOT a true sign of signal strength. The variation never denied my calls.

If it is interferring with your phones functionality, perhaps take it to a repair center and pay the fees.

I do notice you have pretty sweet loyalty and corporate discounts in your signature. You would pay very little for TEP if you were to add it to one or any of your lines. Through 4 phones in my time with sprint, i've purchased one. Just my 2cents

This is the way CDMA technology works. If you're out of a dominant PN's range your phone will go into handoff mode and cycle through a number of different PN offsets without being able to find one to lock on to. Once the RF level gets to a certain point (ie.-90 dbs) it is very normal to see your phone go from 1 or 2 bars to 6 and back over and over again.
