Hi Everyone, I am hoping someone might have an answer. I have international calling. And I can call to my friends in Switzerland (Swisscom and Sunrise). However, I can receive their SMS but they cannot receive mine. And I get charged for it!
Can anyone send SMS internationally? How?
Thanks! ;)

While their carry might allow them to send you messages, and you can call them. SMS to their carrier is probably not supported from yours to that specific carrier/area. I would check to make sure that their area/carrier is specifically supported by your service.
Im only replying from what I have previously read.

I, too, have trouble sending SMS internationally. Each time I call Sprint, I get a different answer as to what to do. In fact, their website info conflicts with what most of their reps say. What is strange is that on May 24, I successfully sent two text messages to Shanghai China and received responses to both. Since then, I've not been able to send even though China Unicorn is supposedly a supported company. I also had trouble texting a friend in France. Finally, he texted me first, and I then was able to respond.
The most recent information from sprint was to eliminate the city code, but my friends say I must include that. The one successful time it worked, I used 011 plus country code, city code and phone number. That no longer works though. Any suggestions?

Are you guys talking to tech support OR just to Customer Service? You need to talk to Tech support for anything advanced such as texting. Lemme know what they say.

I have contacted tech support four times; each time I get different info and each one says his/her information is the correct. However, it's still not working. Sigh.

I can't tell you why you can't receive texts from oversees I've been doing it successfully for quite some time now. To and from. I'm texting mobile phones in Germany I don't know if that makes any difference. Also I send the texts including the country code.

texting to my friend in India was hit or miss..sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't..
for my case, i believe it sent from Sprint's side, but it got lost in the cross over to the international carrier..but who knows what really happened..

I have the unlimited text message on my plan, and I was wondering if Sprint actually charge extra for international text message? or this is also included?
I am trying to send message to France and China.

are you entering the 1 before and what not? International dialing numbers still apply I believe.
