2 years ago(before there were PV) we signed up to Vision plans for all 3 phones.
Main line $15 and 2nd /3rd line $5.
The plan supposedly has: Unlimited Picture mail, unlimited web browsing and includes $5 credit each towards downloads like ringers and games. No mention of unlimited data.

Fast forward. Last night I checked and I have Sprint Radio. Granted it is only 10 free stations.

All these years, when I download a game or browse the web, I was never charged anything extra. Does that constitute unlimited data i.e. not being charged the 3 cents per kilobyte.

So do Vision only lose out on TV and videos?

If we can keep the above Vision plan for $5 bucks and still get the download credits, is it better than upgrading to Power Vision with no download credits? Thinking of keeping the old plan even if we upgrade to PV phones.

It is especially confusing since Sprint made changes April 1.

Power vision is only going to be a benefit if you have an EVDO phone - you will not be able to really use TV/Video without it.

Also, you no longer get the 50% discount on 2nd/3rd lines, making it a bit more expensive.

I'd probably stick with your older vision plan until you upgrade your phones (again, assuming these are older 1X data phones)

Assuming I am upgrading to a phone like Samsung M500 or A900 or the Razr V3.
I think it is cheaper for me to keep my old plan if I do not really want to use TV/Video ,provided Sprint lets me keep the plan as is.

Yes keep your old plan. You can still watch the free channels and if you really wanted to buy more channels you could. Customer service will tell you it wont work unless you have power vision but they are wrong. I do have a grandfathered plan and they try to get me to switch every time I call in for something.
