I have the ultimate package and would like to use navigation on my treo. I am just wondering if all I need is the bluetooth receiver to use navigation. Does sprint use garmin or telenav with the navigation package?
Yep...A BT receiver and Sprint uses Telenav. You can get a Telenav branded GlobalSat-359 at the Ebay Telenav Store for $99.99...a bit pricey perhaps but is completely supported by Telenav if you have issues...
I use Telenav almost every day and I LOVE it. It's SOOO much cheaper than a standalone unit and since the maps reside on their server they are updated by Telenav and don't require precious room on your Treo or SD card.
The Tom Tom maps require like a Gig of storage and you have to update them regularly from their server wasting time.

how exactly do you see it that telenav is cheaper than a stand alone unit?? how much r u paying a month for the telenav? do u have sero or just a regular plan?

So you are able to use Telenav with your Treo 700p? I didn't see the treo listed as one of the compatible phones, so I didn't think it would work! Or does that just mean it only works if you add a bluetooth GPS unit as well? The other phones listed don't have to have a GPS unit do they?

I didn't see the treo listed on the compatible list either. But since I have the ultimate package I should be able to use the navigation software even if I have to buy a bluetooth receiver. Correct

they just gave me the new $25.00 ultimate package free for 2 years, and I saw the navigation ... but wasnt real sure what it was .... now i know!!
