I have the Vision Plan from 2 years ago for my 2nd and 3rd line, $5 each.
It has unlimited Picture mail, unlimited web browsing and 100 Text messages. Plus I get $5 credit each line for services purchased like games or ringtones or apps.

If I sign up for SERO plan, it includes Power Vision . Which Power Vision plan is that? The Access? The Ultimate?
Also does Power Vision plans include any Text Messages for free(I only need a couple)
and what about the Credit for services purchased like songs or games?

Maybe if I do not need multimedia I should stick to my old Vision Plan. Basically if you send a picture with your message, it is unlimited (to overcome the 100 text messages). Can I keep the Old vision plan if I upgrade to a Power Vision/multimedia phone?
And the $5 credit to buy stuff per month comes in handy. And it comes with unlimited web browsing /data transmitted.

Any suggestions?

If you want to just upgrade to a PV phone then dont have it activated in a store or you will lose your old plan. Sero does include internet but not free texts, I think. Also you would need to sign up for 3 new/different accounts. There are no family plans for Sero if I remember correctly. The Tips and Tricks forum has plenty of info on Sero.

I lost my $10 credit/month towards downloads when I changed to a Power Vision phone.

it sounds like it would be cheapier if you just kept your old plan. Buy the phones out right, with no rebates and activate the handsets over #800

this is a related question. We have a family plan with 4 phones. 2 of them were Treo 650s with Vision (included for free on my main line, and $5 on 2nd (my fathers)). My father lost his 650 and the sprint insurance replaced it for $50 w/ a 700p. How does the "vision" plan on that line affect this power vision phone?

Will it work w/ evdo or be limited to 1xRTT? If it works w/ EVDO by default, will we be charged perk KB (due to not having a power vision plan on that line).

i.e. what should I be aware about in what can go wrong in these situations?

thanks.

if you do an ESN switch by #800 the 700p will work with EVDO and most likely will not be charged any difference. I am on my second evdo phone in the past 2 years and i have not had a problem. some have issues, it depends on the intellect, observeance, and how strait and narrow the CSR you get is.
