I can't wait for the ppc6800 .... i Tried the cingular 8525 .. . and one of selling point was that it had the 3g network... and i went online.. .and its way faster than my 6700 ... I wanna know if my 6800 will be at least juast as fast or faster..

Simple answer, is, yes, they have EVDO Rev. A. (I was using my EVDO Rev. A datacard for about a week while I waited for my new DSL line). Works great, and I use it every day at work.. Unfortunately I don't know where any maps are, but I'm sure there'll be a *LOT* of people with that info here. I'm pretty sure they'd have it in Boston by now.

try that. you should be able to input your location and it will show you the coverage. you will most likely have to check the box below to show what you want.
EVDO rev 0 = broadband download speeds
EVDO rea a = increased broadband upload and download speeds

that map shows that I do have it.... so it's really not htat fast then .. cingular 3g ... is a lot faster..

what site are you using to test the speed? i'm sure you know that the 6700 doesnt have rev a since you said you were waiting for the 6800.
on my Q i have reached 997 kb/s usually average 300-400kb/s

With my data card it's approx 1587 downloads.... I'm using DSLReports.com and SpeedTest.net.

I have had a data card for last few days and results varied widely. A lot of course depends on signal strength and several other factors. My results went anywhere from 450ish down to around 800 down. I am out of town right now. Eager to get back to NYC to try it there.
