Alright guys. I just received this phone today (5-5-07 12:00pm MST) and I was really happy, but then again, who isn't after receiving their new phone... I did get to play with it for a brief minute at the Sprint store and I liked what I saw but didnt get to really mess around with it. Today I got it activated, uploaded my contacts via Wireless Backup (thank you Sprint for this feature) and I was on my way.

First and formost...

Whats in the box? The box has the fallowing;

Samsung M620 "Upstage"
Internal Lithium Polymer Battery
AC Power Adapter
Data cable
MicroSD card 64mb
Extended Battery Wallet
3.5mm Headphone Adapter with Microphone (plugs into charging/data port)
Books
Software CD

This phone is SMALL: It's just a HAIR thinner than the M610 and a few CM's skinnier than the M610. I really like the feel of it in my hand. Being a candybar phone, and probably one of my first from Sprint for me besides from an older Green Screen style; I'm very impressed by this device.

Keypad: Well the keypad is a pretty good size. Texting is very easy to do on this phone, Feels like a mix between the A900 layout and M610 feel (minus the minimal key feedback). The overall look of the keypad looks like the more recient M610 and I believe M500 as well. Camera and Back Buttons. Speaker Phone is activated while in call by clicking on Options and turning it on. Keys are light up in a bright white LED color

Screen: Shows you all pretty much what you need to see. You have your Signal Strength, On board Battery status, Time, Date, and Contacts for your right soft key. Like previous Samsungs, You have the option after you've typed in a number to either, Left soft key: Send a Message, or Right soft key: Options which allows you to; 1) Dial 2) Save 3) Find 4) Hard Pause and 5) 2sec Pause.

Earpiece speaker: This is very very clear. I can compare it comfortably with the M610. No crackling for me, No distortion, Everything works great

Microphone: This works great as well. Not sure if this phone has the Noise Cancellation like the A900 did but I don't get any of the symptoms so I'm guessing not. People hear me very clearly and hardly ask me "huh, wha? What'd you say??" unless it's on their end.

Left Side of phone: On the left if you're looking at the keypad, you have the Lock switch to obviously lock the phone and turns off the screen, the ever so popular and most talked about FLIP button to flip between the front and back screens and the MicroSD card slot.

Right Side of phone: You will have from the top down, Your volume keys, a Reset pin hole button, Power/Data ports, and another cover port which I think is used for an external antenna which no one ever uses.

BACK SIDE WITH LARGER SCREEN

http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l202/kaos85/CIMG1321.jpg

Screen: Well a lot of people were sad that this big sized screen wasn't QVGA, But in all honesty, it's still nice. Sure it doesn't have the vibrant crispness and colors, but like I said, still a nice screen. The screen shows what a standard Samsung screen shows but now you have 2/3 options right in the middle of the screen. Sync My Music and Buy Music. When you have music on a SD card, a new icon will pop up saying Music Library and this opens up the media player like in the M500 and M610

Directional/Touch Pad: This is touch sensitive so this might take some getting used to for some people if you haven't dealt with an Ipod or any touch sensitive buttons before, let alone a touch sensitive directional pad. On here, you have from top left to right; Left unmarked soft button, Menu, and Right unmarked soft button. Center you have the Play/Pause/Enter button. Bottom from left to right; Back, unmarked button, and End. Key's have a yellowish-white color lighting to them.

EXTERNAL EXTENDED BATTERY WALLET
http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l202/kaos85/CIMG1325.jpg

This wallet contains a 3.7v Li-Ion Polymer battery which will boost your time from 2.5hours talk on the phones internal battery, to about 6.5hours if plugged into the external battery wallet. The phone clips in with two small hooks on the bottom sides, and comes out by a tilt-pull motion sideways (Right side is how I do it). The phone clips on one side so the back side is always "locked" and the front side is just a flip which doesnt lock. It has a "earpiece" cut out for the speaker while using the Media player or anything of that sort from the reverse (back) side.

This is going to be it for now. I will give you more reviews/info of how the phone handles under daily use.
