Not looking for the type of plan I had when I worked at circuit city and had the CC plan 750 minutes with LD 15$ and when vision came out they got vision for free and downloads for free(IE no charge per program), but I opened my account back then (2001)(Closed CC Emp Sales Plan as I had a very mean sprint rep :( )(Reopened @ 18% discount and been undercontract since 2003)(Now have 25% through Home Depot) and since then I have not really considered moving, as I consider sprint the best of both world price and features. On the same note I do kinda get annoyed at loosing my 15$ plan, but honestly sprint especially if you have been with them for awhile will occasionally throw you a bone weather newly under contract(IE just resigned) just for asking POLITELY!, or getting close. I feel even if they don't admit it, the retentions department has two functions, keeping unhappy customers that can be satisfied and keeping the happy customers feeling good about reupping(Because even with the giveaway plans so to speak they still do well and look how much advertising you are providing) for a new contract. With that being said Never a good thing to abuse it,

Due to a Lost phone issue(Had TEP but really couldnt wait so I bought a new one)


I was given total 142$ in credit(2 months service) would have taken a 50$ credit but asked what could be done

Lost My Vision 10$ vision plan so they gave me 500 sms don't go over it anyway

And due to something I really should have caught got a 5$ credit towards 7pm NW


After Discount(18=>25) came into affect, added PAM to my account and had issues with the fact that Sanyo 8400 Contrary to popular belief is NOT Mac OS X Compatible :(. Have multiple cables and got it working on a PC(Windows), after a very friendly tech worked with me for an hour(after frustrating a non mac literate one(Any reps that are reading this Will be glad to teach you(Quite Seriouse) about Macs)) Sat down considered my options as HomeDepot has massive discounts will all the national carriers Considered looking else where for my data connection. Gave retentions a call and just really thinking I would get no where(because no reason on any level and really wasn't pissed or anything explained the situation(and all the hoops I went through and explained I am a mac user).

Friday(pay day) they are getting from me a brand new data line paying 99$ to get a good EVDO modem(2yr)(Normal Price(with an additonal 50$ rebate)).

I am getting the Unlimited Data 59.99(the OMGS we can't discount it further one) for 44.99.


Am I happy, def can't complaint, I am not one to sign a new two year agreement, and trust me I am very paranoid about them. Do I wish I could have gotten better yes but The act of the the representative doing what she did, showed me they value me as a customer even if I am at the beginning of a newly resigned contract. Out of Contract totally in April 2009, if they offer me something better mainly I keep an eye on the plans and see where the prices go, for a significant change in price in plans I will be glad to resign even before then.

I think the casino analogy is best(mentioned on a previous board), they did a very good job at keeping me happy definitely will be mentioning it to friends. Also the reps have really been alot more friendly lately striking difference which is a great thing.

The whole point of this was, Simply put "They are there to keep the upset customers that can be satisfied and make the happy customers feel good about reupping or other things not as a sense of entitlement"

Yes Sprint keeps VERY VERY VERY VERY Detailed Logs of ALL interactions you have(may not be verbatem)(I saw the screen when I went into a store(nasty habbit of peaking at all POS screens and quickly reading) but detailed enough that they have a clue as to what is going on. Remember the episode of seinfeld where elane could not go to a dr because her medical records had comments about being difficult. Just think remember that when you threaten get pissy or what ever(throw a temper tantrum), that could be you. On a side note 99% of all retailers have that functionality in some form or another just a word to the wise!
