View Full Version : Should I shut up and just deal?

Got my bill last week and it was more then usual. Turns out both my loyalty discount and cooperate discount were missing. Emailing Sprint they said my loyalty discount expired and I'm not eligible for the cooperate discount with SERO. I have both working fine for 4 months prior to this also numerous emails clearly stating I was allowed to have them when I upgraded to SERO. After a few more emails I managed to get my loyalty discount back but not my cooperate. Should I just shut up and move on or should I call Executive services and complain of breach of contract (they lied).

I wouldnt go too crazy. You have a lot of freebies already. (6pm, txt and FIMF)
Bark too much and they'll send the dog catcher!

Something similar happened to me. I simply emailed e-care and they added the discounts back. I too have many freebies. However, be careful to not cause too big of a scene or they'll take even more away.

You are now a member of the I got busted crew. With the freebie that you still have, I would let it go.

Busted for what? Unless the OP had an insider at Sprint put on all the freebies, they are not at fault.

I think he meant that Sprint finally caught on to the discounts and tried to cut them off. Apparently, SERO doesn't allow discounts since it's a heavily discounted plan already.

But, if the OP has emails stating that the discounts would apply with SERO then I think it's Sprint's mistake and he's entitled to them...

exactly...there are wayyy too many inconsistencies with sprint...they need to not give it at all...or give it everybody on sero

however..if they made a mistake..and you have it in writing...then they must honor what they told you.....

SERO plan 30 bucks.
15% discount = 4.50
5% discount = 1.50

6 bucks for Unl N/W @ 6PM (Free), PCS2PCS (Free), 500 Txt Msgs (Free), FIMF (Free), Roaming (Free) Power Vision/w PM.

the 6pm is 5 dollars alone (actually it's supposed to be 10). pcs to pcs is 5 bucks. 500 texts are 8 bucks. roaming is 5 bucks. power vision is 15. that's a total of 28 bucks you are getting for 6. and the free incoming minute.

but if you really want to complain about the 6 dollar difference, then dont be surprised if sprint took away your other perks and popped a reoccuring 6 dollar credit or gave you a 150 service credit (which is $6/25 months) to make up the difference.

edit: well, now that i reread your thread, you are here complaining about a 5% corporate discount... $1.50 a month. honestly, if i was retention and you called to me about this 5%, i'd say.. .ok do you want me to cancel your service then? $1.50 buddy.

Yes, it is included. No charge for roaming on the SERO plan.

I would second that. You got the loyalty discount back, which is the one that mattered. Technically, you shouldn't have the corp discount anyway, regardless of the fact that a rep said you could. Reps give the wrong info all the time.

Just let it go. It's a $1.50. With all your other perks and the loyalty discount, you are still coming out ahead.

If it's only $1.50 I'd say let it go

Typical Sprint, they talk out of both sides of their mouths at the same time. Bye bye discount. Get some extra's when you reup on the next contract renewal. ;)

take what you have an run, its still a hell of a deal..just make sure they notate the account that what they did was wrong, and that you are aware, especially since you have emails stating that the business discount would still work with SERO..

just in case they try and take other things away, you could bring this up later on

I don't see the logic behind a loyalty discount that expires. Why stay loyal to Sprint if your loyalty has an expiration date?

Bait and switch! They do it ALL the time to their customers. :bang:

loyalty discounts are for the life of your contract that you extended. if your contract is for 2 years, why would you keep getting it after you're out of contract? at that point, if you signed another contract, then yes, you should get another loyalty discount.

The OP said the discount ended four months after switching to SERO. Wouldn't that mean he has 20 months to go on his contract?

well... no because technically he shouldnt have been switched to sero. sero is supposed to be only for new accounts, not tacked on to an existing acct as a retention tool. so in theory, the loyalty discount and/or sero shouldnt have even been received by the OP.

had he signed a normal consumer agreement/plan, then yes he should have gotten another loyalty discount. but he went with a heavily discounted plan already.
