I emailed sprint and wanted to add 2 lines to our account we currently have F&F for families 800 min plan. We pay $5 for N&W @7. So i asked when we add them if we could get N&W @ 7 for free, they said only if we do a new plan. I also asked for loalty discount and got it. Is this true? or should i keep trying?

You can keep trying. How long have you been with Sprint?

One trick with Ecare is to try asking for one thing at a time.

Keep us updated as to your progress.

DO NOT REPLY to the email.
If you reply to it, it goes back to the rep that turned you down. Make a new contact.

^ thats not true.

I emailed ecare and was beign rejected for my rebate because I have the $30 sero plan.

I replied back and asked how was I able to receive other rebates then?

a new rep replied back named marcus and gave me my $150 rebate.

he now spoke standard english instead of the usual foreign, incorrect grammar english.

this was last week btw.

if the rep who originally replied is working, they continue replying. If they are off, you get a different rep.

I emailed ecare about a 10% loyalty discount. I've been with Sprint since 2002 and I can't believe they wouldn't give me a damn 10% discount!!

I emailed them again, and they were like "didn't we tell you earlier that you didn't qualify for the discount?".

I'm like "***"??? I see people who've been with Sprint a lot shorter than I am getting hell lots of benefits.

For a long time, Sprint was trying to get me to resign by offereing me 5%! That crap for a long term customer! I tried to get ANY discount when I signed up for Sero, they turned me down. No worries..... :headbang2 :hee:

doesnt it really come down to how whoever you get is feeling when they read your email?

Feeling good sure they can have that....I have a headache....nope not getting anything...

Well it does seem they are tightening up on giving customers freebies and when they do the duration is typically not open ended (see my sig), it has a one or two year duration. They gave me 7PM WITH limits. On the other hand I didn't ask, yet received ANOTHER 140 anytime minutes, recently!

As I mentioned before, I didn't get sh*t (above retail price) until I had been with Sprint for the FIRST two year contract.

It's been my experience that MRC is not as critical to success in getting extra's, its TIME you've been with them. IMO your value to Sprint grows with the time you've been there. I think it has something to do with them developing a SOLID customer base. Loyal customers are critical to success, ask anyone in the car manufacturing business!

Hey guys... Sweetcutie back again!

I wanted to give you guys the heads up that sprint IS cracking down on discounts and free services and is getting anal about any kind of credits.....

They are looking around at sites like this and fatwallet and they are getting really upset about these sites....

they've even started their own forum where it's Sprint approved..... to counter ones like this.

Really all reps (that I know of) are now being monitered for what they're giving out.... and if the account is not deserving of them I've even heard of some options being removed....

sucks but I wanted to give you all the heads up from my side... now please bear in mind that this is what I'm seeing and hearing from my neck of the Sprint forest.. this may be sweeping but may be limited to where I work... all I can tell you is what I know...

Same here. I have a crappy 5% loyalty discount and I emailed ecare to see if I could get the 10% and nothing. I've been with Sprint for over 7 years, never had a late payment.

Cheap bastars.

hey there guys... hate to tell you but they're craking down on E-care.... not letting us get away with giving out discounts for nothing... even if you have been with us a long time... where I am we actually have to get specail permission to add these discounts now... and if you don't they take the access rights away from you altogether.

Also, picking one email address from all the others doesn't necessarily mean you're going to have better luck... they all route into our main system and then get distributed...

You are correct. I recently called and email Sprint and this is what is happening.

As a long time customer (5+ years, never a late payment, contract ending soon), it really bothers me why some folks get special deals while others don't.

On this forum, we can all see what is going on with Sprint and it's all one big Mickey Mouse setup. Some people get excellent plans, others not. I hate that. I even asked Sprint retension this and they could not give me a straight answer.

If you work there and have advice for us loyal customers who don't have luck with Sprint retension, let us know.

Dont get me going with Sprint Rebates. :bang:

On my last rebate ($250) they 'accidently' forgot about me 3 times. My phone rebated came in almost 6 months later after some 40+ calls to the rebate center.

I should report them to the BBB. Terrible business practices.

I'm one the same page with you on this issue! There are many examples in here of people being CHEATED by Sprint on these so called rebates. We might be able to get enough for a class action on this. As I mentioned before my first experience with Sprint when I FIRST signed up with them.......was them trying to scam me out of a large rebate. They are thieves, plain and simple!!! :p

Um... guys... hate to belabour the point but... ALL major corps are thieves... we let them pick our pockets on a regular basis... and I can attest that ALL cell companies are out for the all mighty dollar.... LOL

I don't know why everyone is so up in arms about Sprint.... every company out there does the exact same thing...

What personally bothers me is when I see people here defending Sprint or any other company for that matter as we try to get better deals or simply try to get what is ours as in rebates for example.

honey you are taking this far too personal... I defend Sprint in nothing... I was simply pointing out a fact that seemed to be over looked....

now with rebates I have no arguments on those.. you have no idea how many rebates I have personally tracked down on behalf of my customers. The people that bother me as a rep are the people who don't bother to keep track of the rebate and then 6 or 8 months down the road contact us and say.. hey hold on I didn't get my money and then when I can do nothing about it I get yelled at and called useless.

Half of the responsibility is with Sprint and the other half is with the customer..... I cannot help if a customer is being negligent with their account (and I'm not directing this at anyone so please don't feel that I am)

the reabtes are a draw to get you in and they always have conditions attached to them... I personally avoid them like the black plague or if I decide I want one I ACTUALLY read all the fine print attached with them..

The fine print is what kills you... I mean Sprint's contracts are IRON clad... and if you do decide to sue them.... you have to pay for their lawyers... not a small fee I may add... ~shivers~ not my idea of fun.

In my experience, rebates are always hit or miss no matter what the company or item is.

Besides, from what I understand rebates are a way to get people to buy something with the hopes of future savings. The company benefits from the sale and benefits even more if you fail to meet the terms of the rebate thus voiding the rebate. Finally, even if you do send the rebate in, the company benefits again if they hold out as long as possible on sending the check out to make money on the interest.

As always, thanks sweetcutie and the other Sprint reps who take the time to enlighten us.

you are correct in everything that you say about the rebates... this is why it is so much better to go to a store and get instant savings....

Basically, Sprint profits all the way around with these silly things and trust me... there are super easy ways to void a rebate, such as mailing in the wrong form with your rebate or not including the sales recipt or waiting more than 30 days past the date of purchase to apply for your rebate. Now some of these can be overcome but you'd be surprised at just how many people don't fight it and just let it slide... those people add up to millions in profits... sacry thought hunh?

So true on rebates! I concur with sweetcutie, don't use rebates, get the instant saving thru a store or get instant CREDITS from Sprint CS. I've received instant credits several times after Sprint tried  to scam me out of the first and only rebate I submitted to them!

LOL... I like that you get even with Sprint... that's the way to go...get what you can from them as they take enough from their customers! LOL

I know that it sucks when the rebate gets denied and trust me I have called on numerous customers behalfs in order to get their rebates processed and believe you me, I know how hard it is to deal with our rebates team. I am NOT a fan of that department. And you are 100% right about bad business practices... why do you think Sprint's CS scores are so low?? LOL

We all have our own ways :)

I personally like calling Sprint during my long commute (each way) and pretty much ask BS questions. I know it's not Sprint directly, but it's on Sprint time.

Long drives are dull unless you have someone to talk to

BTW: I just love being nice to nice reps and vise versa. I must admit I look forward to bad reps so that I can release some of that Sprint in me. Heheheheh.

and I'll have to start saying that .... I'm unleasing the Sprint in me... LMAO
