This afternoon I decided to see if my mom or dad's emails would allow them to get a discount from the online eligibilty check on Sprints site. Unfortunatly they were not eligible but I decided to try my school email address for Michigan and turns out I was eligible for an employee discount. Two and a half years ago I did work in the cafeteria and neither quit nor got fired I just decided not to take hours so I technically work for the University. I called and was able to get them to add another 15% on top of my 10% credit union discount. Thought I would spread the word that college emails might work on that eligibilty check site. PS. MSU came up as eligible (Nino that's for you), I doubt they would check if you told them you worked in the cafeteria LOL. Phil

I don't work for my university, but I have been thinking about trying out tutoring a little. As my email was eligible, I guess this is just one more reason to tutor others. ;) Thanks for the helpful info.

When I called they didn't even check to verify, worked out quite well and didn't have to go figure out all the info for that.

I got 20% off because of my school email. I used to work there, and I never quit. I guess that's why I was appoved

If I really wanted to I could go work for two hours to get the information but I don't really want to. I would if I had too; I signed up at a credit union for the discount lol

Both Credit Union and College discounts are NVP discounts and an account may only have 1 NVP discount. Loyalty discounts can be combined in some cases but each NVP account is attached to a "root node" and will only attach to one.

Check your first bill with the new account # and I'll bet it's a 15% discount only.

It's weird how some colleges get more of a discount than others. I read here that most people get 15% off. I get 20%...does it go by school, ot what state your school is in?

i have the 14 % public university discount AND a 15% loyalty discount. They can be used together. Total of 29% off.
