freedialup.org is a website that will give a free access # for dialup internet.
Does anyone know if this possible to setup on the 700WX or the 6700.
Because this works on my computer.

I believe if you dial a data number with your device, sprint charges you per minute for accessing it. I dialed my old ISP to ensure that the line was active and got billed something like 39 cents for that minute.

why would you want to dialup anyway, you'd only see about 9.6-14.4kbps max (since the modem signals are far more compressed on your CDMA phone than on landline phone)

it'd be far cheaper in the long run to go out, get one of the samsung PV phones, get a charging cable, and put PAM on said phone, or just PV if you want to risk it. if you have PV in your area you'd likely see speeds around 700-1600kbps :)

Well I guess if you are using it the way you want, you are just paying for however long you use it (as if you would pay like calling any other person). So if you use it at night, it's free. Use it in the day, and it'll go against you anything minutes.

No?

no, it costs $ all the time.

The "dialing a modem" on your PCS phone costs you $0.39/minute any time.

As stated, you will get some seriously slow speeds, and after 100 mins you may as well have just added PAM and gotten much faster connection thats "always on."
