Backlight Issue

What's the word with it? I see people mentioning how it stays on while charging, but my issue is when I close the phone, the main LCD backlight is still on. I pressed the little button that's suppose to make the phone think the clamshell is closed (small button above the right softkey to the right of the word SANYO) and I see that the screen goes white. Shouldn't it just shut off?

Not sure if you're talking like it never turns off or what.

When I close the flip on my M1 it goes white and stays on for about 10 seconds before turning off.

Try setting your backlight timer to short, and testing to see if it goes off.

It may be if you have the backlight set to never turn off with the phone open that it is effecting when the phone is closed.

Sorry if i wasn't too clear in my message, but we are talking about the same thing. Mine screen turns white and eventually does come off, but I find it weird that the backlight doesnt shut off as soon as it's closed like the other Sanyo phones I've had. I was wondering if that was just me! :)

Could it be because the inside and the outside LCD displays share the same light source?

I believe they share the same source of light, that is probably why the light stays on when the phone is charging. The lighting is like the A920 and A900, were the light stays on while charging, along with sharing the same source of light.
