I've been trying to browse this forum category for answers but for some reason this site loads really, really slowly on my computer, so sorry if these have been answered before:

1) Is anyone's earpiece REALLY loud? I set it to Volume 2 and it's a little on the soft side...I wish it would be louder but when I set it to three, the person on the other end is so loud his voice gets slightly distorted....is my phone defective?

2) Is there software to set up the calendar/contacts/etc? I've got the drivers and the sprint connection manager, but those don't seem to have any features for the phone.

3) I thought I had read somewhere how to make a phone call disconnect my phone as modem usage...can anyone point to those directions?

Thanks!

1) That's just something you will have to get used to, I doubt its defective.
2) There are certain ways to add contacts to your phone using software, that should be pretty easy to search for and find in the forum.
3) Not sure exactly what you are asking for there, but it sounds like you might mean using the phone as a modem without being charged... so far that is not possible with the M1 (You can use the phone as a modem but you will be charged per KB).

1) That's pretty annoying then...what use is the volume control if 3 isn't the max and it's too loud already? :(

2) I'll try searching more...I've been unable to find any as of now...not sure if I'm searching the right keywords.

3) I am not asking on how to use the phone as modem without paying. I'm have the PAM add-on already...I am asking how to have incoming phone calls come through and disconnect me from data (I have read somewhere that you can do that...)

Thanks for your help!

It could be possible you have a messed up ear piece, go into the store and try making on call with the M1 they have on display. You might just have to get used to the volume, but I guess there is also the possibility you have a messed up ear piece. In response to your 2nd and 3rd question the answer to both of them are in this thread, just read through it I know its kind of long but the answer to your questions are in there somewhere. http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120131&page=2&pp=15&highlight=sanyo+tips
