I have a 7400, and I love it. However, it's started to act kind of buggy lately. It freezes (and the only way to get it unfrozen is taking the battery out and putting it back in), doesn't charge, and turns off by itself when it claims its battery is full.

If this can't be fixed by a battery replacement (and I think that should do it), which phone would I get as a replacement? Sprint no longer sells the 7500, at least not on the website, and I wondering what phone I'd get, or should get in a few months when I get a new one.

I love almost everything about my phone, and my next phone should have everything the 7400 has, and/or more.

Sounds like you're 7400 is on it's death bed... if you want to stick with Sanyo, you might try the 8400, or if you want to go full bore, you might like the M1. Both of these phones are everything the 7400 is, and much more, especially the M1. I had a 7400 for some time, good phone.

Yeah, it's a great phone.

Turns out the connector part where you stick the charger into the phone is a little broken. I'm talking about a part in the phone, not the charger or the battery. Charging successfully seems to be touch-and-go lately, and it's been fine the two days. I'm going to stick with it until April, and then I'll re-sign for the two-year contract and get the M1 for $50. =) Good deal, no?

Wow... $50 for the M1? That's not a good deal, that's a great deal! As good as the 7400 is (was) my hunch is it won't take long at all for you to forget all about your 7400 with a upgrade like that.. good move. Do it!

i am looking to get a new phone and was interested in the Sprint Sanyp 7400. How good is the quality? Does it have a camera? Does it have the web? How well does the battery work and last?

It has a VGA camera, which is so so at best, it has the web, battery life is quite good. Vision phone, may not be the easiest to find, but it was considered a pretty good phone.. (back in the day) but I still see people with them, and their happy with it. I still have mine as a back up.
