VI-2300 strong signal?

Has anyone noticed a strong interference with this model? I am sorry if this has been discussed already.

If I leave this phone near my monitor, every few minutes the monitor screen will scramble pretty badly. If I leave the phone near the base of my home cordless phone, I will get bad reception on my home phone. When my grandfather first got his, he went out of town right after, left his room card and credit card in the same pocket as the phone and it wiped both out. He told me that both the hotel manager and the people from the credit card company said they kept hearing reports of this.

Is this uncommon with phones? I am afraid I know little of cell phones so I do not know if this is a common thing with all phones in general or not.

My wife has a Vi-2300 (about 15 months old now), but we've never had, or heard of, any of the problems you described.

My wife and I both have VI-2300's and have not experienced this.

My phone is normally within six inches of my external monitor and notebook computer docking station. No problems with this either.
