I would like to convert some audio and video files to 3GP and store on my website. How can I stream them to my phone? Is just putting a download link enough for a phone to stream them, or do I need some sort of server? I use ORB, but my upload speed is so slow that I'd rather put my content on my external webserver.

You need to have access to your own server so that you can define specific MIME types. Then run Darwin Streaming Server (which you can also run from your own computer as well, like ORB).

There is more information about Darwin in this thread:

I have a VPS with Defender Hosting/Power VPS that I run my streaming stuff from.
