Just got myself an M1 today! I have to say it's a pretty nice Sanyo. I mean I've always thought Sanyos were pretty boring but the M1 is packed with awesome features. Oh and it's not bad looking either! I've never seen one in person until today...it's not as big as I thought it would be. It's pretty small actually! Anyway I'm looking forward to learning more about the M1 and chatting with my M1 buddies! :p

I just took the picture with the default settings I guess right out of the box?
Maybe it depends on what lighting you're in. I was in the living room and the sun was shining thru so that's probably why the picture turned out good.

Welcome Carter! The M1 is awesome and the camera is amazing. Mine has been shelved for a Treo 700wx which I absolutely love. Problem with the Treo is the camera sucks. Anyway welcome and enjoy. Browsing the web while listening to music is insane for a flip phone. What a great feature.

Yeah my treo does the same but ptunes skip when browsing. its lame. im glad the m1 is clear and the cam blows the treo away.
i have had my M1 since early december, and i love it. it takes awesome pics. i will hold on to this phone for a while. very very pleased with it.

Welcome to the M1 club, wont be too long before the hinge mark plagues your phone, better run and get a leather case.

Congrats on another new phone. ;) Did you sell your 610? If so why? Just like most phones the M1 didn't last long for me but it's a good phone with a great camera. The bluetooth cutting in and out and how easy the phone shows wear and tear marks annoyed me a bit. I moved on to a Motorola Q and love it, well at least for now. lol I like Sanyo phones but after having a Motorola it will be hard for me to go back to a Sanyo phone unless they improve the earpiece sound quality (I'm very picky). :hee:

Oh cmon we're phone whores that's what we do!! haha as much as I liked the m610 i didn't like the bug with my picturemail. it kept reseting if i would save a picturemail that someone sent me. Also I had an 8400 previously to the m610 and it would show full screen every time a pic mail would come in and the m610 pic mail would show up small. That also goes for the caller id. I love the fact that Sanyo phones show full screen when someone is calling. There are many things I will miss with the m610 though. Little things like dialing font, the amazing screen and the ease of t9. On the m1 the screen does not even compare to the m610s. Also texting on the m610 is way easier for me. Even if they're both 2mp camera i think the m1 takes much better pictures. Last thing is the size of both phones. M1 is thick and the m610 is so thin. I like the fact that I could put it in my pocket and forget that it's there. Another perk of the m1 is playing music while browsing. My treo also does this but ptunes skips a lot. Not cool.
I wanted to try the Q but after having the 700p for almost six months the touchscreen has grown on me and I know I would be losing that if I switched to the Q. Sometimes I forget that all phones do not have touchscreen and I end up touching the screen. lol. I wish Sanyo would make a nice high end slider. Now that would be hot,

Just wanted to say that when you get pic mail on the m610 you can go to options, save media, and put the pic either in your phones memory or your card, which will then show full screen. Good luck with your M1, I'm sure it's a great phone.

thanks kat, even when i would do that it would reset my phone. any time i would try to save it phone or card. i do miss the m610 though at times.
