I just don't understand this phone, so maybe some of you wise users hear can help me. my MM 8300 for some reason has weird issues when connected to its charger.

1) While on charger does not vibrate

2) When I choose Vibrate for Messaging and connect the phone to it's charger and I get a text message a tone goes off and it's not a tone that is located in the phone as a ringer. Putting the phone's overall volume on Vibrate only still brings the same results.

3) Sometimes while on the charger and I get a private call (who's ringer is set to none) I still hear the ringtone low as if it was on level 1.

Please help me to either fix these problems or reassure me that I am not the only person affected by these things!

When you set the phone on vib on the charger it places the phone on low ringer. All phones do it. Cause it can't vib so default is to ring.

All Sanyo phones made in the last 5 years do this as well as most other phones. They do this because you obviously can't feel the phone vibrate when it's charging on a table.

The only Sanyo that doesn't do this is the M1 which for some reason neither vibrates or rings while charging and set to vibrate (the phone goes silent), my guess is this is a bug and not a new method of handling this situation but I guess we will see in the first firmware update for the M1 if they fix it.

This is a default design feature of the phone. They figure you can't feel the phone vibrating if it's not in your pocket (which obviously it isn't if it's plugged in). Also, it may be a fire hazard of some sort. I wouldn't really want an object dancing around my table when an electric current is flowing through it.
