I am on a family plan with my mom dad and myself, 3 lines. I want to switch ONLY my line to have SERO features. My dad said he called and the guy said my line only has sero features but then I called a day later to make sure... I had all these new features yes but I don't know if they are going to be free. I got the Sanyo M1 the same day and called to see if I had POWER VISION and the lady said no, I have the Power Vision and nights weekends at 7 now and we all share 800 minutes which is fine with the mobile to mobile... are these all the SERO features? If not, what am I missing?
Anyway, I then asked her what all comes with my Power Vision and she said all the wireless web, sprint tv, music, all that stuff EXCEPT picture mail. Does Power Vision really not come with picture mail??? The one for SERO.
Here is where things went bad, she said I have Power Vision for the 1st month for free then it will be $15/month after that. I was like no, my dad called and the rep said he put SERO features on for free then from here she asked what is SERO, I tried explaining, she typed on her computer and came up with nothing so I said okay well I guess we'll see if I get charged after this month and then I will contact Sprint. Thank you
So, does everything sound ok? Those are all the SERO features right? And hopefully I just won't be charged for all this stuff...
Sidenote: with power vision, i am creating ringtones using audacity and uploading them through rumkin... get the text message (i have unlimited for $10/month yes) then go to link and download it. is this going to charge me anything? It should be free right

Here are the answers to your questions.
SERO Vision includes picture mail.
SERO includes 7pm nights and free roaming.
If the rep just gave you power vision free for one month, you need to get it corrected.
Unlimited text messaging is $15 per month full retail, $10 for one line on a "power plan" and $20 for the whole family on a "power plan." SERO doesn't include free text messaging.
Edit: As long as you have texting, you wont be charged anything for downloading content from another website. The vision plan covers the data charges, and the texting plan covers the notifications

So it sounds like you are just trying to get free PV, since the shared plan already offers most of what SERO offers.
If the rep said you will be charged $15, then you only the PV Access Pack on your plan, which does not include Picture Mail. And like Dan said, you will need to spend some time trying to get it free, if it isn't already.

The only "perks" I want or need are unlimited texting and power vision for free...... power vision is part of SERO so I am going to try and argue that first.
Here's what I will say:
"Hi, I'm a college student under a family plan with my mom and dad and they don't want to pay for my vision package anymore although I thought I had it for free. Well, it turns out only the first month was free. When my parents saw the $15 charge they told me to turn it off. Is there any way I could somehow get vision for free? I just got a new Sanyo M1 that was quite expensive and it is a power vision phone and well, without a vision package, it feels kind of pointless. I don't have the money to give to my parents every month for the vision package and I understand that the SERO plans come with vision and picture mail! Is there any way I could get SERO features on just my line? That would be perfect. My family and I are loyal customers of 3+ years now, and I give them $30 a month for my line alone. I know it's asking a lot to just give me this for free but I would really appreciate if you could do this for me."
wait for response of "What is Sprint SERO?"
then I'll give them the website
you think this will do me any good

heh.... they will not put sero on a shared plan, even just one line. Your best bet would be to call up and say " id like this, and this free. thanks ". In all reality, they are not going to bargain with the holder of a sub line.
EDIT: Whoops :p i read it wrong

I know but I'm just saying SERO features.... just the power vision package mainly. not necessarily SERO itself

really, if the main account holder cant pull it off within the first two tries.... and you still want it that bad, your best bet would be to have the main acct holder tell customer service that since you cant do that you would like to cancel that sub line and port your number to a new individual sero account. telling them that would prolly provide better results.

i think it would be more expensive to add me as a sero line separately....
plus we just signed a 2 yr contract extension so i dont think i cant even make changes to plans or anything anymore? if so... they could do the 550 minute plan, 2 lines, 60 bucks
then my line would be SERO for 30 bucks but no unlimited texting for 10 anymore... it would be 15..... so 45 bucks total
60+45 is $105
We are currently on family plan of 800 min, NW at 7, basic stuff for 70/month
then my unlimited texting makes it 80/month
all i want is vision!!!! ahhhhhhhhh

try calling. tell them that SERO gives it for free, but you can't have a family plan. Mention you just signed a 2 year deal. see if they can give it for free, or $10 with a $10 credit to offset it each month

best bet is to just ask for a loyalty discount to help offset the text. and the vision you would be best off just paying for it or try your luck with getting sero. there is not a code for the free power vision like on sero it is part of the plan so you can't get it for free.

Also, if the main account holder works for a major corporation, you might be able to get a business discount. If the account is in your dads name and your mom is eligible for a discount, you can do a transfer of liability to your moms name, and then apply the discount. If you are trying for a loyalty discount, get that one first, since it will be much harder to get with a business discount.
