View Full Version : SERO.............. Vision/PV switching questions

i've searched through dozens of SERO threads but have yet to come across a clear answer to my question, and i'd truly appreciate some help.

I started my SERO plan with a Katana which I then switched out for an a920 and was told I wouldn't be able to use it without a new contract, etc. Found out how to talk to Tier2 here on SU and after literally hours of phone calls, finally found someone who knew what I was talking about. I'm in need of a new phone and i've been made available a nice non EVDO/PV phone (we don't have EVDO anyways).

Will I have to repeat the same ordeal of going back to PV when the time comes for a new phone or does some sort of note stay in the system? It's sad to say, but it was such a frustrating experience that it's pretty much a dealbreaker.

If someone could maybe shoot me a PM with some info, this thread can be deleted, but i've truly spent a lot of time on here the last few days, poring over SERO threads.

I have moved this to the Tips section. This thread can be used for discussing the problems and solutions to switching between a Vision and PowerVision device on the SERO plan.

Likely you will have to utilize the same process again to switch back.

If the plan is a deal breaker for you because of this issue, compare the frustrations you have experienced because of your choosing to switch phones against the "true" cost of a SERO plan if you paid for everything. Personally, I'd think the SERO plan is worth this small headache in the long run!
