I was under the impression that you couldn't port from one area code to another.
Well, I called a local Sprint store before I signed up with SERO and asked if I could port my Virginia number to my new Sprint Indiana number and he said YES: you can port from any state.
Has anybody heard anything different?

Employee Acounts is the only way to go when trying to get someone who's familiar with and knowledgeable about SERO.
You're right about them knowing what they're talking about. I just got off the phone with them and the lady basically said I shouldn't have been given a sero account and she's not doing anything for me. She said I was lucky and somehow beat the system and the person who gave it to me made a major mistake. I said thanks, bye. Maybe I'll wait a while before trying anything again.

Called CS earlier today.
I told her how happy I was with Sprint my first few days, and that I had referred a co-worker earlier this year (true).
Then I said, there was one very small thing about my plan that I wanted to change and that was the 9 p.m. nights.
I gave her the plan number for the SERO 500 with 7 p.m. nights. It took her a few minutes but she did it.
I just checked my plan online and it said 7 p.m.
Ahhh, SERO satisfaction.....

Because of the geniuses at Inphonic couldn't get the Treo 700p last week, I called Sprint directly and signed up for SERO.
The plan they gave me had 9 p.m. nights which I didn't argue at the time because I just wanted to get the plan without a hassle.
I figure from reading the board that I could get 7 p.m. nights a few days later which I did.

Hey Drummer, did you get those Loyalty discounts when you switched over to SERO or did you have to request for them back again after switching over to SERO? Basically if you have 10% on regular plan and switch over to SERO 500, does the 10% loyalty gets carried over?
Btw, is SERO free roaming?

SUCCESS! I e-mailed for about the 5th time to E-Care and FINALLY got this response!
Dear Greg,
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I will be happy to assist you regarding the SERO Plan.
First, I apologize for the delay in responding to your e-mail. There was a problem with the delivery system causing a delay in our response time.
I understand your concern and you are right that you have just activated the account, that is, as of May 11, 2007. Certainly, considering the present scenario and that you are right, I can change the plan on both the lines on the account to the SERO 500 plan.
Going forward, I have changed the plan on both the lines to the $30.00 SERO 500 plan as of May 20, 2007. I have also removed the $20.00 Unlimited Text Messages option from the account and have added free unlimited text messaging on both the lines as well.
Further, we also received your email to be forwarded to the Technical Support Team. I have forwarded your email to them and they will get back to you within 48 hours from now.
Thank you for emailing us. Have a great weekend!

Question: Hello Sprint... I am just E-Mailing to ask a favor of you. My wife and I recently went to a 3rd party supplier and activated 2 brand new Sprint phones with a 2 year contract. The phone I really wanted (Motorola Q) wasn't available at the store or on the SERO website (which is what I wanted originally). I returned my phone and signed up another line through a Sprint corporate store about 2 days ago. I purchased a Q through them and put it with my wife's phone on a SprintPCS Family Plan... Now that the SERO site has the Motorola Q back in stock again (it ran out for a while), I was wondering if instead of returning the newly purchased Moto Q I just bought and then RE-Ordering through the SERO website, Would it be possible to simply split up our family plan and put my line (801-473-3631) on the SERO 500 plan? Or even both of our plans on the SERO 500 plan? We just BARELY activated a few days ago so they are new lines, and I have a promotional E-Mail I got from a friend to get into the SERO website, so it's legitimate. Anyways, I was just curious if it was possible so I could avoid having to go through the trouble of returning and re-buying online. Thanks again for the service!
Persistence apparently pays off.. We did just activate both our lines though, but now I guess we should be all set. Now just to make absolutely sure that N&W start at 7PM instead of 9.
So to all those trying to switch, KEEP TRYING! I think the only reason she switched me is because I've tried so many times and because of the problems they were having with their phone lines and systems the other day.

Yes, I had a family plan for myself and my wife which I had to split into two sero plans. Now my wife's single plan is listed under my own plan. Maybe one of the CS/store owners have an offical term for what they did, but it can be done.

The SERO page was redone, and now it gives you an 888 number to Enterprise Telesales. The only problem is that all the reps you get are either unfamiliar with SERO, or they say the system is down and they can't do anything. My wife and I both called late this morning to sign up. She got her account done, I didn't. I've called several times, including the Employee Accounts number and the best anyone can do is issue me a callback request.
Tons of phones are now available, including the Treo 755p, but I can't sign up!

Ready link is like nextel's push to talk. Almost nobody has it, and your phone does not support it. If you wanted it, you would have to buy a Sanyo, as they are just about the only phones that support it. Readylink and direct connect (nextels push to talk) are not compatable, so in the end, you would most likely have nobody to talk to.
Maybe if we are luckly, we will get grandfathered into QChat.

Ready link is only available on certain Sanyo phones and unless you have it on your plan already(including on the Free incoming call plans)you'll have to pay extra for it. Not to many people have it or use it anymore.
I was able to get Sero on my Main line who's plan was on the Free incoming call plan. I called Employee Accounts and asked if it was possible if I could switch plans. The rep said she didn't think so but she'd ask her supervisor. I was on hold for 30 seconds she came back and said "yes maam I can do that for you."

Alright, here's some info on the 29.99 data card plan.
I originally signed up with sero for the 49.99 plan, however, the system screwed me over and set me up with the 59.99 plan. Apparently the 49.99 plan didn't exist since none of the many reps I talked to could find it.
Anyway, the last rep I talked to, on Saturday, told me about the 29.99 plan that was supposed to start today. The only reason she couldn't set me up with it was because it didn't start until today and said to call back today to switch and made a note in my account for it.
I called back today and asked to be switched and lo and behold none of the reps can find any hint of this 29.99 plan. So it appears that the 29.99 plan has been purged from the system.

Unfortunately I can't get any of the reps to be able look at the SERO site since the SERO site isn't on Sprint's server. So I can't actually show the offer that's there.
Seems to just come down to they can only set me up with whatever plans are in their particular computer and right now they've only been able to find the old 59.99 plan and the megabyte limited plan.

I'm on the phone with Employee Accounts right now. I'll let you know what I find out.
EDIT #1: The Employee Accounts that I'm speaking to can see the $49.99 Unlimited Data plan just fine, but he can't find the $29.99 Unlimited Data plan after looking in both P2K and Ensemble. He was kind enough to pull up the SERO website and I directed him to the PDF file that advertises the $29.99 Unlimited Data Plan. He pulled it up (yes the exact same PDF) and he pretty much said, "Well, you're exactly right. It says $29.99, because I'm looking right at it, but I have absolutely no idea how to access it.
EDIT #2: The Employee Accounts rep came back and asked me if I would hold a bit longer because he still couldn't find anything, but he conceded that, "if it advertised on the website, you should be able to get it." He said he's going to get his supervisor to see if they can find anything out.
EDIT #3: The Employee Accounts rep says 4 supervisors have looked and they have absolutely no idea where to find this $29.99 Unlimited Data plan, but they're still looking! He mentioned that $29.99 is the current Unlimited Data price from Sprint employees, but acknowledged that it was SERO we were talking about.

The Employee Accounts rep finally came back and announced that the plan change is effective today. I was required to agree to a new 2-year contract, but I certainly don't mind. Unfortunately the Employee Accounts rep didn't offer any explanation as to how the switch was done. Kind of, I signed up for one last week that was supposed to be a sero account (49.99/mo). But for some reason it got set up as a normal account (59.99/mo). It's been nothing but a hassle right up until I called that last number, the folks there seemed to actually know what their doing and set me up without any hassle.

Woot Woot! I should now be on the 29.99/mo plan now to!
Called the number MidwestDrummer gave. The lady couldn't find it at first either, after directing her to the pdf file she put me on hold for a bit and came back and said that they found the info on the plan. After fanagling with my account for a while I should now be switched over to the 29.99 unlimited plan.
I guess it's all a matter of calling the right number!
Nice job buddy!!

Hey Can somebody do me a favor? I'm looking at my account details page on the sprint.com website and on the "change plan" page it says "PCS Vision Service" I thought SERO was supposed to be "Power Vision"??? I have a Motorola Q, and I'm not sure if it can use Power Vision or not. I've heard rumors that the Motorola Q can do everything in the Power Vision Access Pack EXCEPT Sprint TV, which I don't really care about. Is this true, or am I only getting Sprint Vision service when I should be getting Power Vision???
Then, under the "Plan Details" section it shows a completely different Sprint PCS plan?? Maybe it's just because we just barely switched to SERO and they haven't updated it yet?
Can somebody else post a screenshot of their "Change Plan" section of their SprintPCS page??? (with important details blacked out of course) Or maybe their "Plan Details" section??? Thanks in advance!

The Moto Q isn't officially a Power Vision device since some features don't work, like Sprint TV and I think Picture/Video Mail. However it is EVDO capable, and you should be able to get EVDO speeds when browsing the web, checking e-mail, downloading, tethering, etc. I don't have a Q so I can't comment on what code you should have for it, but I can understand why it might say it's not Power Vision even though you should have Power Vision speeds.

I've got Comcast cable internet at home.
How "stable" is this Sprint data card?
I guess my question is: Is it worth to disconnect your current cable/dsl connection at home and JUST use Sprint's data plan at home? I know the speed might not be as good as a stable cable/dsl connection.
What's everyone's thoughts on this?
I AM ON THE SERO $29.99 UNLIMITED DATA PLAN!!
The Employee Accounts rep finally came back and announced that the plan change is effective today. I was required to agree to a new 2-year contract, but I certainly don't mind. Unfortunately the Employee Accounts rep didn't offer any explanation as to how the switch was done. He pretty much just told me, and asked if I had any other questions, and if I was satisfied with the service provided. Hmm, I know the chances are very, very small, but I'm wondering if they just gave up and stuck me on the Sprint Employe $29.99 Unlimited Data plan. I mean, the Employee Accounts rep made it sound like they were all just so baffled and confused. Who knows, but I have the $29.99 Unlimited Data plan now and that all that matters!

With Cable, you can have more than one computer online, and with the sprint connection card you can not. You will also get higher speeds with cable. If you travel, and take your laptop with you, the card is certainly worth it. If you have multiple computers, are not in a rev A area, then it probably isn't worth it. I guess it all depends on how much you pay now for high speed internet. Mine is free, so I'm quite content.

One thing to be aware of is that the card connects to one computer, and that's it. So if you have multiple computers to connect via a router, or have other network equipment like VoIP service, I don't think it'll work. If I traveled enough to justify this, I'd jump on the plan. But there's no way I'd replace my cable internet service just for this.

EVDO routers (or Cellular Routers) are routers that provide shared Internet access by incorporating a cellular data modem as a WAN interface.
There are currently several cellular routers available in the US:
Digi International (http://www.digi.com/products/cellulargateways/) - Digi's commercial grade cellular products utilize high-speed wireless GSM, CDMA and 2.5G/3G cellular networks to create reliable, secure Wireless WAN (WWAN) connections to remote assets for real-time two-way communications. Remote networks requiring a backup connection to existing landlines may also utilize a wireless connection for failover.
WAAV, Inc. (http://www.waav.com/) - The WAAV AirBox CM3 Cellular Router is the 3rd-generation cellular router from the leader in cellular routers for the vehicular and mobile market. With Wi-Fi capabilities, WAAV, Inc. turns your vehicle into its own mobile hotspot. All of WAAV's products are specifically designed to be used in moving vehicles, proven to keep a connection at speeds of over 70 MPH. WAAV, formerly known as Omniwav Mobile, Inc., was the first entrant in the mobile broadband cellular router market in 2004 with the MBR-1000 and the follow-on product EV-1 featured in Business 2.0, Entrepreneur Magazine, and many others. The WAAV AirBox CM3 and the AirBox X2 are the only cellular routers with GPS options for fleet tracking. WAAV is also the only cellular router company with special back-end routing options for WEB 3.0 (the mobile web). Their product lines include consumer, business fleets, and government products.
WAAV recently released the only dual connection cellular router, the AirBox X2. It creates 2 cellular connections and bonds them together for more bandwidth.
Proxicast (http://www.proxicast.com/) LAN-Cell Mobile Gateway family of CDMA & GSM routers - award-winning, highly secure, flexible enterprise/industrial grade devices on the market since 2003.
Kyocera (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyocera_Wireless) KR1 - The newest router created in conjunction with D-Link. It has the look and feel of a normal router except it uses a broadband card to connect to the Internet.
Top Global 3G Phoebus - A pricer option it is shaped like a black Pyramid.
Junxion Box (http://junxion.com/) - The leading cellular router solution for large enterprise and government deployments. The product, certified with and sold by Cingular and Sprint, includes hosted remote management (Field Commander) and an on-board VPN. The Junxion Box is also available with Wi-Fi (WEP and WPA). Junxion's target applications include landline replacement, landline backup, transit, fleets, and kiosks.

If I have a plan with an included free line, can I switch to Sero? I even know an employee if I need?
Or should I wait untill one line expires?
Also, I dont mind switching numbers, as ive moved and it would not bother me to switch numbers.

$39.99 plan? Are ou talking about an unlimited data plan? If so, that'd even be a discount from the original SERO unlimited data plan. Normally the regular customer $39.99 data plan only gives you 40 MB of data per month.

So I was able to switch to the sero 500 plan last week and now my phone's battery has decided to last for about 20 minutes of talk time. So I'll be buying a new phone now I guess. My current phone is just a plain old vision phone, and I'll probably wind up getting a Power Vision phone (might as well). Should I just buy the phone myself and call them and have them provision it and that's all it takes? Or does something in plan have to change to go from vision to power vision? Or is there a way to maybe get a discount or rebate (this part is less important to me than how the process would work with switching to the new phone). I guess I don't know how it all works with sero plans and if it's the same as normal plans. Thanks for your help!

You will need to call and give them the ESN to activate your new phone. They would also need to change you from vision to power vision, but there is no charge for it. The 30.00 SERO plan is not eligible for rebates, since plans must be 34.99 or above. If you have been with sprint for a while, retentions might give you a deal on a new phone, but YMMV. A store rep may not know how/have access to change SERO plans, so your best bet would be to call in. They will walk you through programing your phone, and they can switch your vision.

Actually the $30 SERO plan does fall under this limit. If you try to do a phone upgrade when you're eligible, the system won't be able to apply it because you're not on a plan with a base price of $34.99 or higher.

i thought it was 29.99
that's what i saw on the Advantage club website that i can't locate now
the phone plan was $15 data plan $29.99
I know someone who used to work for Sprint a few months ago. His phone was unlimited minutes for $10 a month including free Vision access.
He used to pay $15 a month for his wireless data card.

Here's my story. I am currently a sprint user with my contract set to expire in December. I called today to try to get my account switched to SERO. After several attempts to try to get my phone switched over, I gave up and just set up a new line.
I called back to retentions a few hours later and tried to get out of ETF on my old phone. No dice. Since my plan is set to expire in December she offered to put my old line on seasonal vacation for 5.95/month. She said that once my contract expires I can just cancel the line.
I am waiting to hear back from them. After being on hold for about 10 minutes she said that she would have them call be back so I don't have to wait on hold all day.
Overall I am happy with the deal. As much as I tried, she wouldn't let me keep my old # but that is not a huge issue. Even with paying 5.95 on my old line, my new bill will be cheaper and is a much better plan. I also got a new Moto Q out of the deal. :)
BTW I used the savings@sprint.com email so as of today I can confirm that it works.

My contract expires today and I've been working on getting SERO for a couple of days by calling retentions, who have been unwilling to do it.
So last night I called the number on the SERO site and the guy I talked said that he could set me up with a temporary number and when I received my new phone all I needed to do is swap my current number to the phone on the SERO plan. Does this sound like it's doable?
I went ahead and decided to give this a try. My phone, UpStage, should be here Thursday. If I can't port my current number over then I'll just cancel the SERO plan and start all over.

I dont know if its possible, but if nothing else, you could port it to a prepaid number, then port it back to your SERO account.

For those people that need an email address, and the rep wont accept holiday, savings, or anything like that, you can use tristan.kime@sprint.com . Its the email address designed for users of buzz about wireless to use to sign up for SERO. I'm guessing Sprint heavily monitors that forum, so I'm guessing they have allowed it to be posted. Here is the link, it is currently the second article. http://www.buzzaboutwireless.com/cms/home-page/

I've got a quick question regarding Sero. If I live in an affiliate market, what would it take to get signed up on Sero? Do I need to have a corporate area billing address and corporate market number?
I would like to do what it takes to get signed up on Sero. If it means using a family members address (with permission) in a corporate market I would have Sero, but then I would have a corporate market (long-distance) number. So lets say I signed up that way...Is there anyway of changing the billing address to an affiliate market address still keeping the plan intact? How about changing the number?
I've been told by reps before that I can have an affiliate market billing address and affiliate market number, but have the benefits of a corporate (roaming-included) plan. The reps mentioned that I just have to have my coverage address in a corporate market to take advantage of corporate offerings, but my billing address and handset number can be based out of an affiliate market...Is this possible?
Any suggestions as the best way to get a sero plan would be greatly appreciated.

I think if you're in a corporate market then you should be good. I wouldn't change the billing over to an affiliate market, though.

I'm currently located in an affiliate market and I would like to get a sero plan, but living in a affiliate market prevents me from getting it. I have many family members that would happily let me use their billing address to get the plan, but if there is anyway I could have my affiliate address as the billing address or a local number that would be ideal if it is possible.

My family had a family plan with three lines for my wife and kids. The contract had only been in effect for two months, so I called employee accounts and asled to switch the lines to the SERO 1250 on each line. NO PROBLEM... she sat there and did it with not questions asked. The call center is actually in Bristol,VA near the Kentucky border! Good luck!

Its not really close to Kentucky border.
Bristol VA is located in the TriCities. So its closer to Tennessee than KY.. in fact its probably equidsitant between KY and W. Va.

The great thing is that the plan only costs $30/month with all the goodies. Grat program. The representative were very good and courteous. I will ESN swap my old number to use the existing one. Hello. This is my first post, but I have been reading a lot about the SERO plans and I have a couple of questions before I try to switch.
First, my plan is:
Sprint Free Incoming Plan
$39.99 Sprint Free Incoming Plan
All Minutes Include Long Distance
300 Anytime Minutes
AMERICA - ROAMING Included
Unlimited Incoming Minutes
Unlimited Night and Weekend Minutes
Nights: M-Th 9PM-7AM Wknd: F 9PM-M 7AM
Caller ID, Call-waiting
Three-way Calling
Voicemail
Additional Anytime Minutes $.45 Per Min.
Sprint Power VisionSM Access Pack $15.00
Picture Mail SM $5.00
Unlimited SMS Text Messaging $15.00
27% off.
I was reading posts from back in Feb. when you guys said that on the SERO site that the Unlimited Text was just for IMs. Well now, which I'm sure you know, it still says "Unlimited Text** and Data", and when you scroll down it says "Unlimited text messaging promotion expires 6/30/07." It doesn't say SMS like you guys mentioned from the post I was talking about, so I'm guessing it's still only for IMs?
Also, do the company discounts still work with a SERO plan? I don't really have a problem with my plan because most of my calls are incoming, but if I got the 1250 Minute plan with my discount, that would be great, but I just don't want to lose the 27%.
And is Mobile to Mobile included in SERO plans?
I'm sorry if any of these questions are obvious or have already been answered. I'm just trying to make sure first.

Mobile to mobile is including in the SERO plans. And like my self I do have discoutns with my SERO plan. But there is a very, very low possibilty of you loosing your discount if you switch to a SERO plan but still give it a try. I think ou would save much more with a SERO plan even if you loose your discount (which I highly doubt you would) And SMS = Short Message Service, which is the same thing as text messaing, there is no difference. Oh, and if you do decide to change you plan, dont mention anything about the discount, just get your plan changed. Then I guess wait for the next bill statement to arrive and see if its still on there. Or once you get switched over to one of the SERO plans, call back and verify if the plan has succesfully swithed and also if your company's discount is still on your account. GHOOD LUCK! ;]

I also had a discount plan...probably the same as yours. I am coming to the end of my 2 yr commitment, so I was offered the $150 discount, etc. The plan I had was the family plan with 700 anytime min. I was paying about 65.00 per month. I never used anywhere close to 700 minutes. Now I have the 500 min plan, plus the power vision pack, etc., which was an additonal $20.00 per month. I was going to pay $99.00 for the Moto Q in addition when I renewed. Now all I have to pay is the $83.59 for the Moto Q and the $30.00 per month...much better deal, at least for me, and it includes and the bells and whistles.

Hey Guys, how ya doing...
i've been reading all this stuff about SERO and how to get it.. i guess i was one of the lucky one. My plan was the family plan 700 minutes and i was paying for the 300 text messages.. i had to lines on the plan... So like i was saying i was reading all this stuff about SERO and how to get it. So i called customer care and told them that someone had referred me and i that i wanted to switch over to the SERO plan. i gave them an email and then the rep told me its only for new lines. so i told her i wanted to convert, the rep called for me and called the other department that does that and transfer them to me.. Basically my family plan got converted into individuals SERO plans.. it was easy i had no problem.... they left my corporate discount 21% and a 5% discount for one yr.. (dont remember what was it for). so this is my new plan...
Adjustable anytime minutes 1250 minutes they gave me..
$49.99 minimum monthly charge
AMERICA-ROAMING included
Nationwide Long Distance Included
Unlimited Nights & Weekends Mins. Included
Nights M-F 9pm-7pm
Unlimited Vision Access
Unlimited Mobile to Mobile
i wanted to know if i have unlimited text messages also.. the rep said i also had it, but i dont see it there.. Also What else can i get out of the SERO Plan

Smokez31-
You could call back for the 7pm nights/weekends but you also run the risk of someone noticing those discounts and take them off since Sero technically should be without discounts- there's a thread somewhere about people getting their discounts taken away when they checked their bill.
It all depends on who answers the phone on the other side. The only thing constant with Sprint is their inconsistency- but that's what make dealing with them fun

Here is what I just did to get my line which was out of conract and my wifes phone which was still under contract in SERO plans.
I called the SERO number and opened a new SERO plan with a new number. I then called retentions a few days later and asked that my other two lines be placed on SERO plans like the new line. The CSR said OK and set it up and after the other plans were switched I cancelled the new line. All I need to do now is return the phone that I got with the new line and everything will be perfect.
Today I upgraded both phones and the girl in the store added a 15% corporate discount to each line.

Sprint told me if I left I had to wait 90 before I could come back but I dont know about how that would work if you go from Sprint to Nextel back to Sprint.
I read another thread about SERO on another board, where the guy said he has ported a existing Sprint customer to a boost mobile pre-paid kit, and then immediately turned around and ported it back to a NEW line at sprint, which would allow the qualification to SERO. He said all of this took less than one hour, and that he has done it 10+ times for his friends and families.
He said you can get a boost mobile pre paid starter kit from ebay for about $12 and then he said the port of your number from Sprint to Boost takes about 30 mins. Then he said, that would cancel out your line at Sprint. He said you can then port your number back to Sprint on another NEW line of service, which takes about an hour. No verification myself so YMMV.
Hope that helps.

I just checked the Sprint rebate website, and got the following message:
My understanding is that others with SERO phones have had their rebates rejected. Has anyone recently had their rebate rejected like this, and then managed to get a rebate? What did you do?
Thanks

Hey guys, ok i did do a search and went through a majority of the posts and i couldn't find anything on this. K heres my situation, I live in grand rapids, MI, which is on the far left side of the state and there is no SERO coverage here. I go to school in Ann Arbor, MI, which is on the far right of the state and there is SERO coverage there. I was wondering if anyone knew if this was possible, I have family in Ann Arbor so I plan on giving Sprint the address there where they have SERO. I currently have a cell phone number with the area code 616 from grand rapids. Is it possible to give sprint my billing address in ann arbor but have a 616 phone number? any suggestions would be really helpful and appreciated. thanks

I had a VA number but live in Indiana. I gave Sprint my Indiana address and then two weeks later ported my VA number to my Sprint phone.
It's possible. You're planning on porting your old cell phone number over right?

right, so basically i order a phone from SERO, wait about 2 weeks and then this is where i get lost. should i call my current provider and cancel or do i call sprint and tell them i want to port my number and have them cancel with mu current provider? I believe Sprint has the 30 trial so i have some time right? I just want to make sure and dont get screwed in the end by paying an etf and losing my number.

Here;s what you do:
1. Do NOT cancel your current cell phone carrier. You will lose your cell phone number if you do.
2. Order from SERO. Use any address you want, as long as SERO is available in that area.
3. Try out Sprint service, be happy with the crappy CS and the excellent plan you're getting.
4. Call your current cell phone carrier and tell them that you're planning on porting your number to Sprint. Confirm that you WON'T incur the ETF, since you're out of contract. In some cases, some reps make a little note on your account that you're planning on porting your number
5. Call Sprint CS and tell them I want to port my number. They'll do it in no time.
6. Once you port your number over to Sprint, your current cell phone plan will be canceled automatically.
I ported my VA cell number to my Sprint number after around 10 days.
Question for you: You've got a 616 area code. Does Sprint provide coverage in your area code?

Yes, there is Sprint coverage with the area code 616, but not SERO coverage.

No problem man. Like you, I had a ton of questions about porting my out of state number when I was switching to Sprint.
Take care :)

Ok here's my situation. I tried getting my cousin to switch to the Sero plan. I called Employee Accounts and gave them an email address that was given to me when I first joined the site. The same one I used when I got Sero. The rep told me in order to change over that I either had to be a Sprint employee myself or have the Sprint employee's who's email address I want to use call them back with the info and they could switch me over. Anybody else heard of this or should I just wait a few days and try again?

I'd wait and try again. Sounds like the employee may have flagged their address for SERO fraud, or the rep you spoke to was just being a PITA.
savings@sprint.com still lets you into the SERO page, so maybe try that address?

You can also try tristan.kime@sprint.com. It was posted a while back in this thread by Tel0004. She is giving out her email for people sign up with Sero.
You'll have to split that family plan into 2 Sero plans but both can still be under your account though...

Let us know what happens. Sometimes, the rep says you have to get a new line, etc... but many people here have successfully migrated to Sero and kept the numbers. It's a matter of getting a kindly rep.
