I have a ppc 6700, i can get on the web with the *777 number but when i try to do wi-fi only it wont work. it is picking up my wireless in my house but it wont let me connect, it just says 'available' . What settings are necessary for this and what should I do? I want to be able to use wifi when available, but if not, then i want it to swtich to *777 number. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Any links about help too.

Have you gone into the wifi settings and set up your network? You need to add your security settings, etc. to your phone. You can find the wifi settings by going to the communications manager and clicking on the lower right-hand corner. It's the same place you set up bt. When you're connected to wifi the phone won't try to connect to #777, because it always defaults to the fastest connection. Hope this helps! - sheureka

Ok i think i have it going now. the comm manager says that I am connected to wi-fi but when i try to go to a web page I get a message from internet explorer saying "the page cannot be found. check the name and try again". I tryed several pages, and i know they are correct because i loaded them earlier on the *777 connection and they were in my history. Do i have something wrong with my settings. Also, someone explain the EV-DO technology to me. thanks
