Accessory Type: Stereo Bluetooth Headset
Brand: NextLink
Price: $50 (normally $99.99)
Where Purchased: Radioshack
Time Used: 1 day
Used With Which Phone: Samsung M610
Rating (1-5 Stars): 5
Summary:
This headset has a built-in microphone so that I can listen to music from host device and when connected to a cell phone, can carry on conversations as well. When a call comes in while listening to a media, the headset will make a sound to indicate a call is incoming. Then pressing the joystick in once pauses the music and connects to the caller.
On the right earpiece, there is a joystick to control playing media files. Pressing the joystick in once plays the selected media. Pressing the joystick in for 2 seconds stops playing the current media. Pressing the joystick forward goes to the next media, while pressing the joystick backward goes to the previous media. Finally, pressing the joystick upward increases the volume, and pressing the joystick downward decreases the volume. So using the joystick is very intuitive with good tactile feedback.
Bluetooth® profiles supported: V1.2 headset profile, hands-free profile, A2DP and AVRCP.
The package comes with an AC charging adapter and a USB adapter that can be used to charge the headset from the USB port of a PC. Also, a short user guide is included.

Pros:
+ The joystick is intuitive to use.
+ The quality of sound is very good, comparable to good wired stereo headset.
+ Claimed battery life is 10 hours playback time and 41 days of standby time.
+ Range is 300 feet when connected to class 1 Bluetooth device, about 30 feet for class 2 Bluetooth device.
+ Warranty period is for 2 years parts and 2 years labor.
+ The headset is light and comfortable to wear. It is a behind the ears design.
Cons:
+ When I connected this headset to my PC via a USB Bluetooth dongle, the sound quality was not as good as with my M610 cell phone. This could have been due to the quality of M610 BT radio was much better than the BT radio in my USB BT dongle.
