I have a animated wallpaper I would like to put on my Fusic using BitPim. Can anyone tell me how to do it?

Maybe someone has a work around that allows you to do so, but to the best of my knowledge, the latest version of BitPim still does not support the Fusic (LX-550).

well i found a thread (http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118233&highlight=fusic) that told me how to get ringers on it, I did it and it works great, I was just hoping there was a way to do wallpaper aswell...

bitpim doesn't support your phone. that's why you can't play with the contact book. you can however trick it into allowing you to change files for some strange reason. you compose and melody and replace and viola, a ringer! unfortunately i don't know about wallpapers tho. you don't like using focus? just a suggestion. phone uploaders can give you the download url via power vision.

I no longer have power vision on my phone, maybe I'll figure out a way, I hope so anyway...

can't you connect your phone via cable and get to the mass storage device and place your animated file onto the memory card....then navigate to the folder where you placed the file and you can set it as your main display. did this on my wifes phone and worked like a charm

Thanks for the tip, but I tried that and it didnt work, first of all it tells me the "GIF" is an invalid file, and even if it wasn't my wallpaper menu wont let me check the memory card. Anyone else know another way?

don't try to get to the memory card from the wallpaper menu. Navigate to Menu>>>>>>Tools>>>>>>Memory Card and you should be able to get in to the folder where you placed in and assign it appropriately.
however i can't remember if gifs are supported or not. if not then you'll have to get ahold of a software program to convert that file to a pmd. i'll check when i get back if this is what i had to do or not.

i was able to put an animated gif on my phone, it looked like crap, but was there, i would assume a non-animated one would work fine
edit: when i say it looked bad, i mean it didn't animate well, the still portion of the animation was fine though.

i tried taking a pic with the phone then overwriting it (like with the ringtones), but that also didn't work, it says unsupported resolution or something, this sucks. Anyone?

Okay, so I added vision to my account, but now when I send the wallpaper it doesn't work. Can someone with a Fusic try and send this to themselves and see if it works, 'cuse I make animated wallpapers all the time for my friends Fusic. I just don't get it.It's a little "Sexy" so expect that (http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k294/bigcrazybaby/sohot.gif)

i get a 904 content mismatch error. not too sure on what this means but i believe that this gif might have too many frames. hopefully someone else can confirm this. that's a nice animation tho. i like.

Thanks, but I can't take credit for the "GIF" I didn't make it I just found it. I hope someone can help, but maybe it does have too many frames. I don't know. It's almost 500kb's, however I did make another version that is 347kb's and it still doesnt work. Maybe it's just not meant...

not to get too technical, but it might have to do with your framerate... i'm not sure about animated images, but the video files should be 15fps (check out the .3g2 file format)... I just got a Fusic, and so far, I haven't had trouble getting anything to work, although I havent tried animated images yet
