Vision does not include text messaging. It's $15 for unlimited texting, but if you get a nice rep, you'll get it for $8. Or if you get a REALLY nice rep, they'll give it for free like I got. haha

i think the only way to get it "free" is to get a reoccuring credit to cancel itself out. it ranges from $15, $8, $5 i think i even heard of $3 or $2.50 unlimited text.

From a retail standpoint, there is no text messaging included in any data plans. If you would like sprint pcs vision and unlimited texting, the cost would be $15 for each service making your vision services and unlimited text messaging $30 per month combined. Like mentioned, depending on the representative and the department, you may be able to get unlimited text messaging at a discounted rate.

Which retailers offer plans that cheap for unlimited text messaging? I assume those prices expire at one point or another?!?

I'm pretty sure I had free text messaging with my old vision phone. However, it used internet "short mail"...does that have something to do with it?

Maybe...At one point, the Sprint plans included data access and unlimited text messaging, so that could be part of it too.

Yup those are old plan... with the vision package $10 or $15 NOT EVDO Data now. Basically they were during the time when vision just started these were some of the plan option. Before this I remembering that they had the option pay by megabyte and different MB and price plan. After awhile they settle on $15 unlimited. I think the $10 was from those people that had wireless web, which was the first form of internet with sprintpcs. I've been with sprint since the begining because they were the only one that didn't require a $500 deposit with my non existent credit (I just turned 18 at the time)

Basically if you still had these plan then you have Unlimited Data, SMS, and picture messaging. I'm still have the $15 and fight the urge to upgrde my phone or do anything that might get rid of my free txting. Especially during Xmas I racked up about 800 txt :-)

Now adays they don't have this plan and the most of the option is that they give credit that will give you free txting or reduce texting.

Yes, I got my $2.50 unlimited text when I was aiming for 500 free. Last month I used 45. If you multiply that by 15 cents, that's a whole lot more than $2.50!

I've never used text that much, I've had unlimited for almost 2 months now, I still haven't used more than 50 in a month!

I pay $8 for mine, but have a recurring $8 credit... which results in free unltd texts, and no I didnt ask for it. But I'm not complaining either.

I'm on one of those original Vision plans. orginal plans were 10 dollars more and included 2MB of Vision (this is after WW). Back then Sprint had the Sprint PCS Data kits to hook up your laptop which i got with my A500 back in the day. Few months after that Sprint upgraded everyone to unlimited MB of PCS Vision. I'm still on the plan, and i just upgraded to the Moto Q from an A940! Everything is still intact. I think the orginal plans are coded differently because the Rep said nothing about my data and said i can try Vision free for one month. This isnt the first time a Sprint rep didnt notice my data on there. I'm thinking its encoded within my minutes line and not an add on. So i guess when a rep looks at it they dont even see a VISION PACK anywhere. Once i talked to a tech about my old treo 650 and was amazed at how it wa encoded saying wow you basically get free data in a troubled speechless way. all i can think of is how its encoded.

For those sprint employees, can you give me any insight on how those older plans look on the system. THe old old plans with the 2MB limit/unlimited upgrade. I know one rep told me i had a 2mb limit than corrected herself because she saw the unlimited data. Ive always wondered....
